Who says you can’t be friends with your ex? Certainly not Nadine Lustre and James Reid. Fans were over the moon when the JaDine love team became real back in 2015. Though the two eventually broke up after four years of dating, it was an amicable split, which is something you can’t say for some celebrity breakups or splits in general. Even though JaDine is no more, that doesn’t mean that both of them have lost the love between each other. In fact, it is far from it actually.

Following their split, Nadine and James are still great friends and have been there to support each other’s endeavors. After all, Nadine is signed to James’ record label, Careless, while James appeared in Nadine’s Wildest Dreams visual album and Absolute Madness concert and sang a duet with her. Nadine has been vocal in the past that James has been there to support her if she needs a helping hand, regardless of what their status is. It’s a kind of relationship that any couple would be jealous of.

JAMES AND NADINE REUNITED

And now, Nadine and James are teaming up once again, this time to help launch a brand new phone, the OPPO Reno6 series, Reno6 Z 5G, and Reno6 5G. Coming in Aurora and Stellar Black, the latest phone release is equipped with AI Portrait Camera Technologies such as Bokeh Flare Portrait, AI Portrait Beautification Video, AI Highlight Video, and AI Palette to make for the perfect shot. The two of them actually each took a selfie with the phone and posted it on their Instagram pages. Nadine tagged James in the caption while James tagged Nadine in the actual photo, which naturally caused quite the stir with fans on social media.

If you want to see Nadine Lustre and James Reid together again, catch the event live at OPPO’s official Facebook and YouTube pages on August 6, 2021, at 7 PM. They will also be joined by their Careless labelmates Massiah, Jolianne, and the A-Team for some special performances.

And aside from getting the pleasure to see both of them together again, OPPO will also be giving away special prizes and freebies during the live stream such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang premium items and currencies, Lyka Gems, OPPO Enco Air, OPPO Enco Buds, OPPO Band, and brand new OPPO Reno6 Z 5G smartphones. Giveaway mechanics will be announced during the live stream.

Cooking With Paris

Paris Hilton is back with a brand new reality TV show and this one looks to be as fun as the iconic A Simple Life. Cooking With Paris is a “cooking” show based on the viral cooking video Paris did last year where she made Lasagna. Paris isn’t a great cook, and she isn’t hiding that in this show. But that doesn’t stop her from trying. And she isn’t alone as she’s joined by special guests including Kim Kardashian West, Demi Lovato, and Saweetie. Cooking With Paris arrives on Netflix on August 4.

The Suicide Squad

The Suicide Squad is back, and they look better than ever before. Harley Quinn, Bloodsport, and a collection of nutty and obscure villains join Task Force X where they are sent to the enemy-infested island of Corto Maltese on a mission that most likely will kill some of them. James Gunn is directing this reboot of Suicide Squad and unlike the divisive 2016 movie, he seems to have captured the zany and wacky vibe that the group is sometimes known for. Early reviews have been promising so we’re hoping that The Suicide Squad brings the group the glory they deserve. The Suicide Squad hits theaters and HBO Max on August 6.

Vivo

This animated movie follows Vivo (voiced by Lin-Manuel Miranda), a rainforest honey bear bird, and his owner Andres. The two have a common love for music and entertain crows with their singing. One day, tragedy strikes and Andres is unable to give his former partner’s concert. It’s then up to Vivo and a teen girl named Gabi to deliver Andres’s love letter to his former partner, Marta. Vivo is available to stream on Netflix starting August 6.

What If…?

This will be Marvel’s first-ever animated TV series and is based on the What If…? comic series. The show, like the comics, will revolve around different events in the Marvel universe and shows them through alternate takes or outcomes. The 10 episode series will delve into different what-if scenarios from Peggy Carter being Captain America to T’Challa (voiced by Chadwick Boseman) being Star-Lord instead of Peter Quill and even the Marvel superheroes being turned into zombies. Jeffrey Wright will voice the role of the Watcher, a powerful figure in the Marvel universe who will serve as a “host” of sorts for the viewer as they are taken to different what-if situations. The first episode premieres on Disney+ on August 11, 2021.

The Kissing Booth 3

The finale of Netflix’s popular teen romantic comedy is almost here. The Kissing Booth 3 follows Elle as she struggles whether to go to Berkley with her Leo or to Harvard with her boyfriend, Noah. Add to that a new love interest in Taylor Zakhar Perez’s Marco and the movie being set during the summer could make for an entertaining movie. The film hits the streaming service on August 11.

Free Guy

Ryan Reynolds has a new movie coming and it looks to be his most inventive yet. Ryan plays Guy, a bank teller who doesn’t realize that he is a non-playable character in an open-world video game. One day, when he learns of his true existence, he decides to take matters into his own hands and be his own hero. This, of course, does not sit well with Antoine (Taika Waititi), the game’s creator who decides to end Guy’s existence, permanently. A charismatic lead in Ryan Reynolds, a plot that is appealing to both gamers and non-gamers, and an over-the-top performance from Taika Waititi have us excited for this one. Free Guy is in theaters on August 13.

Don’t Breathe 2

The first Don’t Breathe scared audiences around the world with its crisp quality and heart-pounding tension. The sequel looks to be giving all of that and more. Don’t Breathe 2 is set years after the events of the first movie where Norman Nordstrom (Stephen Lang) is living peacefully until one day, he is attacked and something special to him is taken away. He must now find those who wronged him and seek revenge. Don’t Breathe 2 seems to be portraying Norman as the good guy now, but given the twist and turns of the first movie, don’t assume things are set in stone. What we do know is that this is going to be a promising horror movie. The film hits theaters on August 13.

CODA

CODA stands for Child of Deaf Adults and this movie follows, Ruby, the only hearing member of her deaf family. When the family’s fishing business is in jeopardy, Ruby has to choose whether to support her family or pursue her dream of music. When CODA first premiered during Sundance 2021, the movie was met with universal critical acclaim and was lauded for its feel-good family drama and representation (every deaf character in the movie is played by a deaf actor). The movie was so good that Apple spent a record $25 million to buy it. The movie hits theaters and Apple TV+ on August 13.

Reminiscence

Reminiscence stars Hugh Jackman as Nick Bannister, a scientist who discovers the technology to relive your past memories. When a woman who looks like his lost lover, Mae (Rebecca Ferguson), mysteriously shows up, Nick decides to use the technology to search for his long-lost love. It’s been a while since Hugh Jackman fronted a big-budget sci-fi movie, but we know he can do. What has gotten us even more excited is the fact that Reminiscence is directed and written by Lisa Joy, who created and wrote Westworld. The show has an amazing mix of science fiction with high drama, and we can’t wait to see what she brought to this movie. Catch Reminiscence in theaters and HBO Max on August 20.

The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf

While fans have to wait until December to watch season 2 of The Witcher, they do have the animated movie to look forward to this August. The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf follows Vesemir (voiced by Theo James), a Witcher who mentored Geralt during his training days. The movie will explore Vesemir’s backstory as a young Witcher as he deals with a dangerous new power threatening the world. The feature is being co-produced by Netflix Animation and Studio Mir, the team who worked on shows like Netflix’s Dota Dragon’s Blood and Legend of Korra. The anime film premiers on Netflix on August 23, 2021.

Candyman

The classic horror movie returns ready to scare a new generation of viewers. This “spiritual sequel” to the 1992 film sees Anthony (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) and his partner Brianna (Teyonah Parris) move into a gentrified neighborhood of Chicago. A chance encounter with an old-timer unexpectedly leads to Anthony opening a door to a dark past and unleashes Candyman into the world once more. We have faith that director Nia DaCosta and co-writer Jordan Peele have what it takes to give justice to the original while also bringing the franchise to the modern world. Candyman hits theaters on August 27.

He’s All That

Classic 90s teen movie She’s All That gets a gender-swapped twist in He’s All That. This time, the remake sees a teenage girl (played by Addison Rae) give the ultimate makeover to a shy boy in high school. While official plot details and a trailer haven’t been released yet, we are curious to see how this remake manages to capture the energy and spirit of She’s All That. The movie will be available to stream on Netflix starting August 27.

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha

If you’re in the mood for some feel-good content this August, keep an eye out for this K-Drama. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha follows Yoon Hye-jin as she opens up a dental clinic in the seaside village of Gongjin. She’s beautiful and smart, but also a clumsy. While being strict and a perfectionist, she’s got a warm heart deep inside. Hong Du-sik is technically unemployed but takes on odd jobs and helps everyone in the village. From delivering food to working at a convenience store, he’s a master of all trades. Smart and caring, he’s the hero of the village you can count on whenever you need assistance. The pair soon meet and they feel attracted to each other despite being complete opposites. The show hits Netflix on August 28.

Sparking Joy

Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo' premieres August 31 on Netflix – KonMari | The Official Website of Marie Kondo

Marie Kondo is back, and this time she is taking her self-help tips outside the home. In Sparking Joy, Marie Kondo goes outside the home and helps people with her tidying teachings to improve their businesses and communities. We can’t wait to see how Marie brings joy into people’s businesses.

New Seasons

While these shows aren’t technically new, they are premiering new seasons that you shouldn’t miss. Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 (August 12), Titans Season 3 (August 12), The Walking Dead Season 11 (August 22), American Horror Story Season 10 (August 25), See Season 2 (August 27).

Did You Know, You’re Old Gadgets Could Have Been Used To Make The Tokyo Olympics Medals

Did You Know, Your Old Gadgets Could Have Been Used To Make The Tokyo Olympics Medals

line
The medals were made using recycled materials.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics is aiming to be the most environmentally friendly Olympics ever and that starts with what the medals are made out of.

Related: These Athletes Are Making The Olympics All The More Relatable On TikTok

With the Tokyo Olympics currently ongoing, most eyes are on athletes as they vie to earn a coveted Olympic medal for themselves and for their country. But the 2020 Olympics isn’t just all about the competition, because the Tokyo Olympics is aiming to be environmentally friendly and sustainable as well. This is actually in line with the theme for the 2020 Olympics, which is, “Be better, together – For the planet and the people.” Multiple initiatives were done to achieve this theme with one of them being what the medals are made out of.

WHAT THE TOKYO OLYMPIC MEDALS ARE MADE OUT OF

Did You Know, You’re Old Gadgets Could Have Been Used To Make The Tokyo Olympics Medals
Photo via olympics.com

A gold medal is not actually made out of 100% gold. The last time the Olympics used all gold to make the gold medals was in the 1912 Stockholm games. This year’s gold medals only have six grams of gold plating on it and the rest is pure silver. The silver medal is made of pure silver while the bronze medal is made of red brass, which is 95% copper and 5% zinc.

Over 5000 medals were made for the Tokyo Olympics, which were designed by Junichi Kawanishi, the director of the Japan Sign Design Association and the Osaka Design Society, whose design for the medals won a competition against 400 other submissions from professional designers and design students around Japan. The medals are meant to represent the themes of light and brilliance. The design is meant to symbolize diversity while the brilliance of the medals signifies the warm glow of friendship.

In order to make the medals for the Tokyo Olympics, the Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games actually used old and discarded electronic devices. All the metal that was needed to make the Tokyo Olympic medals were sourced through a project called Tokyo 2020 Medal Project. The initiative collected electronic devices from mobile phones to digital cameras, and laptops. The two-year project lasted from April 2017 to March 2019 as Japanese citizens donated their used and old devices. All in all, over six million phones were estimated to have been donated and 78,985 tons of devices were collected and melted down to come up with approximately 71 pounds of gold, 7700 pounds of silver, and 4850 pounds of bronze.

So, not only were the medals made from recycled materials, but it was also done through the help of regular Japanese citizens. Even the ribbon attached to the medal is environmentally friendly. When the ribbons were being made, they used chemically recycled polyester fibers, which produce less CO2.

OTHER SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVES

This is just one of the many ways Japan is making the 2020 Tokyo Olympics environmentally friendly. The Olympic torches, designed by Tokujin Yoshioka, were made from recycled construction waste from temporary housing used in the aftermath of the Japan earthquake and tsunami in 2011. The fire used in the relay torches and cauldron holding the Olympic flame was fueled by hydrogen instead of fossil gas. There are also self-driving buses in the Olympic village. The electric e-Palette buses made by Toyota are powered by solar power and do not generate emissions.

Despite what has been said online, the famous (or infamous) cardboard beds used in the Olympic village are not meant to deter athletes from having sex. Instead, the use of cardboard was done to make them more sustainable. Japanese mattress company Airweave made over 18,000 cardboard beds for the games and are made with lightweight recycled cardboard that can be customized by the athletes.

3d-printed Podium in a sports stadium

The podiums where the winning athletes will wear their medals for the first time were made from over 24.5 tons of discarded household plastics. Asao Tokolo made the podiums and gathered the plastics through donations from the Japanese public. They were then recycled and turned into filaments, which were used to 3D print the podiums. It is estimated that over 400,000 thousand laundry detergent bottles were used to make the 98 podiums in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Even the outfits that some of the athletes have worn are environmentally friendly. The torchbearer uniforms by Daisuke Obana were made from recycled plastic bottles collected by Coca-Cola. The basketball and soccer uniforms made by Nike for team USA and Korea, among others, were made from recycled polyester made from plastic bottles and recycled nylon as well as rubber and yarn waste from Nike’s factories. The skateboarding uniforms made by Nike that went viral for their cool and sleek look were made with 100% recycled polyester from water bottles and other discarded waste.

Still Feeling Hungover From Loki? Here Are 7 Upcoming Marvel Releases To Get Excited With

There's still a lot of Marvel content to look forward to.

Related: Black Widow Finally Gives Natasha Romanoff Her Time To Shine In Marvel’s Return To Cinema

Phase 4 of the MCU has so far gotten to a great start. WandaVision shook the internet with its reveals and revelations. The Falcon And The Winter Solider introduced us to the new Captain America while talking about important issues like racism. Black Widow was a welcome return to the cinemas for Marvel and introduced a fast-rising fan-favorite character in Yelena. Loki, meanwhile, changed the MCU both figuratively and literally in ways that will be felt for years come. The show’s ending got a lot of people talking and left many questions. If you’re itching for some more Marvel content, there is a lot more coming your way. From new movies to new TV shows, here are seven upcoming Marvel releases to look forward to for the rest of 2021 and beyond.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi is set to be the next MCU movie and it’s already shaping up to be a promising one. Simu Liu playing Shang-Chi whose life gets turned upside down as his past, the Ten Rings organization, and his father, Wenwu (Tony Leung) aka the real Mandarin, come back into Shang-Chi’s life. Given the events of Phase 4 of the MCU so far, it will be interesting to see how the movie deals with or addresses that. Marvel’s first Asian-led superhero movie is also stacked with Asians both on and off the camera, which makes for some much-needed representation. The movie is set for release on September 3, 2021.

Hawkeye

This series will revolve around Clint Barton as he trains his protégé, Kate Bishop, to be the next Hawkeye. Jeremy Renner will return as Hawkeye while Hailee Steinfeld is set to play Kate Bishop. Aside from the show being a way to pass on the baton to the Young Avenger, Hawkeye could also take a look at Clint during the events between Infinity War and Endgame. It’s been rumored that the show will take inspiration from the Hawkeye comic series by Matt Fraction, David Aja, and Javier Pulido, which depicted Clint as down of his luck when away from the Avengers. The fact that Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova is set to appear in the series has gotten us excited considering that she has a score to settle with Clint. It is scheduled to be released on November 24, 2021, on Disney+.

Eternals

Marvel’s Eternals is shaping up to be one of the more interesting movies of Phase 4 of the MCU. Directed by the Oscar-winning Chloé Zhao, Eternals follows the Eternals, a group of proto-humans who use cosmic energy as the source of their powers. They were created by the Celestials, a group of creatures that are some of the oldest and most powerful in the Marvel universe. The official plot sees the Eternals go out of hiding while living on earth to face the Deviants, a disfigured off-shoot of the human race. The Eternals have been living on earth for a long, long while in secret so we may see them interact with things in the MCU that we didn’t know they had a part in.

Aside from having a talented director, Eternals also has a stacked cast that includes the likes of Gemma Chan, Angelina Jolie, Kit Harrington, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, and Salma Hayek. Makkari, played by deaf actress Lauren Ridloff, will be the MCU’s first deaf superhero while the movie will also feature the MCU’s first gay superhero, rumored to be Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry). The movie is set for release on November 5, 2021.

Ms. Marvel

The Ms. Marvel TV series will follow Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), a Pakistani-born but New Jersey-raised young woman who discovers that she has polymorphous powers which means she can shapeshift her body into different shapes and sizes (think Mr. Fantastic). The series will be based on the Kamala Khan character made by Sana Amanat, Stephen Wacker, G. Wilson Wilson, and Adrian Alphona. Despite the similarities, Ms. Marvel isn’t related to Captain Marvel, she uses the name Ms. Marvel because, in the comics, Kamala Khan idolizes Captain Marvel. But she is set to appear in the Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels in 2022. Ms. Marvel became Marvel’s first-ever Muslim superhero to headline her own comic book and this series will be the first time the MCU will feature this groundbreaking turn. No release date has been given yet though it is scheduled for a late 2021 release on Disney+.

Spider-Man: No Way Home

A lot, and we mean a lot has been said and rumored about the third Spider-Man movie in the MCU. Based on the ending of Far From Home and the movie’s first trailer, No Way Home deals with the fallout of Peter Parker’s identity being revealed to the public and that he’s trying to clear his name.

Rumors have widely suggested that this movie will also introduce the Spiderverse since Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock and Jaime Foxx’s Electro have been confirmed to appear in this movie while Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s versions of Spider-Man are rumored to appear as well. Benedict Cumberbatch is also set to have a role in the movie returning as Doctor Strange so who knows what this movie has in store for us. Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to hit theaters on December 17, 2021.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness | Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki | Fandom

If WandaVision and Loki got you agitated to see what happens next, this movie is the one you need to see. All the build-up that these shows and even Spider-Man: No Way Home leads to the Doctor Strange sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. No official plot has been revealed yet, but we can assume from what we know so far that Doctor Strange, Wanda, and maybe even Loki and Spider-Man will team up to fix the multiverse, or at least stop it from overwhelming the original timelines. The film will also see the return of Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, and Rachel McAdams in their respective roles. The possibilities are endless. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has a release date of March 25, 2022.

ZACK TABUDLO GOT FEATURED ON ROLLING STONE AND HIS REACTION IS A WHOLE MOOD

Zack Tabudlo Got Featured On Rolling Stone And He Had The Best Reaction To It

line
"IM CRYING AGAIN."

2021 has proven to be a great year so far for Zack Tabudlo.

Related: A Love Story In Reverse, Andrea Brillantes And Seth Fedelin Will Break Your Heart In Zack Tabudlo’s Binibini

Zack Tabudlo has been having a banner year this 2021, and we’re only a little over the halfway mark. When he released his single Binibini in March, the song went viral and currently has 37.7 million streams on Spotify. The music video featuring Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin became a trending topic and has to date over 21 million views on YouTube and over 510 thousand likes with the accompanying lyric video having over 33 million views. The song was so successful that he even released an English version of Binibini with James TW. But the hits keep on coming for Zack Tabudlo as he was recently featured in an article for Rolling Stone, one of the most prestigious music magazines in the world.

The article was in relation to Spotify’s RADAR program, which is the streaming service’s platform to promote emerging and up-and-coming artists from around the world to a wider audience. Zack is currently featured as one of the Filipino artists on the program. 10 artists from around the world in the program were featured on the list and Zack Tabudlo and his song Binibini were included. Some of the other artists featured on the list were female singer Griff from the UK and 21-year-old Korean rapper Ash Island.

ZACK TABUDLO X ROLLING STONE

“For artists like Filipino singer, songwriter, and producer Zack Tabudlo, the opportunity to get in front of a global audience is a leap forward in a career that’s been bubbling since he was 12 years old. Tabudlo’s soaring soprano voice brings to mind Bruno Mars and Adam Levine, the latter of which he imitated on the way to a deep run on the Philippines’ version of The Voice Kids,” details the writer, Kwasi Boadi.

They continued to heap praise on the 18-year-old singer by talking about the meaning behind and the video of Binibini. “Teenage Zack Tabudlo is crafting poignant records about heartbreak that belie his young age. His single, Binibini and its universally understood musings have placed the song firmly at the top of the Filipino Spotify charts for several weeks. The track’s music video is a departure from its lyrics by showing the other side of this meteoric kind of love: When it fizzles. Tabudlo recently collaborated with the producer James TW to create an English version of ‘Binibini’ that is sure to bring his heartfelt messages to an ever-wider audience.”

Zack actually saw that he was featured in Rolling Stone and his reaction is understandable.

Zack also appeared on a digital billboard in Times Square as part of the same program from Spotify.

TBH, it was only a matter of time before Zack Tabudlo would get recognized for his talent. We can’t wait to see what he has in store in the future.

Graduation should be a time for great joy for many students. After spending years of studying and hard work, all their efforts are finally coming to fruition. It’s every student’s dream to wear a toga and cap, walk to the stage, get that diploma, and proudly soak in the moment as a graduate. But with the onset of COVID-19, face-to-face interactions were (and still are) deemed too dangerous to do, so thousands of schools around the world closed. This meant that graduations ceremonies were either canceled, put on hold, or held virtually.

While the classes of 2020 and 2021 weren’t able to have that classic graduation experience, some schools stepped up to the challenge and held unique and interesting graduations that proved to be memorable for those involved. At the very least, these students can say that they were part of a one-of-a-kind graduation. Here are 8 unique graduations done during the pandemic.

MOBILE GRADUATION VIA KALABAW

Most graduation ceremonies in the past year shifted to online ceremonies. But the problem with that is that students who had weak or no internet connection at home couldn’t participate in the events. This was the problem the teachers of Lawigan Elementary School in Tobias Fornier, Antique faced. Most of the area was mountainous terrain, so it wasn’t easy to make it online graduation. To solve this, the teachers decided to make a mobile stage for a mobile graduation. The best part was that the stage was being pulled by a kalabaw. They even decorated the kalabaw with ribbons and a garland. The teachers walked for hours to reach the homes of the graduating grade 6 and 7 students, but based on their reactions, it looks like it was all worth it and further proof that teachers sacrifice so much just for their students.

GRADUATION AT A DRIVE-IN MOVIE THEATER

A few schools took inspiration from the movies and held their socially distant graduations in drive-in movie theaters. Clover High School in Clover, South Carolina, held its graduation ceremony at the local drive-in movie theater. Students and their families would come in and park their cars in front of the screen. They would then walk to the stage to receive their diploma.  Hanover Area High School in Pennsylvania did a similar concept where students and their families watched pre-recorded videos projected on the screen and were even treated to a free new movie release after the ceremony.

GRADUATION AT THE FINISH LINE

Indianapolis Motor Speedway

If you could think of a place to hold a graduation ceremony, the raceway wouldn’t be your first choice. But that was what a high school in Indiana did. The Speedway High School decided to use the unconventional location of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as the setting for their graduation ceremony. Students received their diplomas at the raceways “Yard of Brick” finish line. How the students would get to the finish line is even cooler. Each student, along with their family, was allowed one car in which they drove on the actual speedway to reach the finish line and receive their diploma. Now that’s a memorable graduation.

ROBOTS DRESSED AS THE STUDENTS

We are living in the future. To make the graduation feel as real as possible, a school in Taguig decided to use robots in place of the actual students. Operating as mechanical proxies, these innovations were dressed in matching toga and cap while a tablet with an image of the student was used as the head. The robots were made by the school’s robotics team they controlled them via remote control. These remote-controlled robots brought a whole new meaning to the term cyber graduation.

GRADUATION AT THE CAR PARK

If you can’t hold a graduation inside a theater or auditorium, then hold it in a parking lot. At least, that was what a school in Bahrain did for their graduating 2021 class. The stage was built in the front while cars were parked by rows facing the stage. The students were waiting by the side of the stage to get their diplomas and there was even a red carpet in the middle of the car park so students can walk down the aisle. To make the event even more special, there was a fireworks display at the end of the ceremony.

GRADUATING IN MINECRAFT

Minecraft is a game in which you can build almost anything you want, as long as you put your mind and creativity to it. When Japan closed its schools in February 2020, a group of Japanese students decided to take matters into their own hands and organized their graduation ceremony in Minecraft. Eight students, ranging from elementary to junior high school, made the event without the help of teachers or faculty. The virtual ceremony had all the things you expect a regular graduation to have. The students entered in a line. A speaker was present to give the commencement address, a student spoke for the class, and they all received their diplomas.

MOBILE CARAVAN

If the students can’t make it to the graduation ceremony, then bring the graduation to the students. That is what a group of teachers from Maligaya Elementary School in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur did recently. They went around town with a mobile stage complete with decorations, music, a loudspeaker, and even a host to announce the names of the students. The teachers said that they decided to do this so that it could be more convenient for students who don’t have a stable internet connection.

DRIVE-THROUGH GRADUATION

Drive-throughs are usually places where we get fast food to go. But one university in California decided that it would be a good place to hand out diplomas. For the 2020 graduating class of La Sierra University in Riverside California, the school decided to hand out the diplomas drive-through style. Students in their cars would drive to an administrator who would hand them their degrees. All the while, family, friends, and neighbors wait on the side of the road cheering on the graduates.

We need that pink killer gun ASAP!!!

While the Blackpink and PUBG collaboration was confirmed by YG back in September last year, someone “leaked” their skins on Twitter and we couldn’t be more excited.

What happens when you have two of the biggest icons in music and gaming? The newest venture musicians have been exploring aside from Tiktok and the usual fashion collabs has been E-Games, especially with the absence of music festivals. Case in point, online multi-player game PUBG or PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ collaboration with K-Pop super group, Blackpink. While it isn’t an entirely new concept, (see Travis Scott’s massively successful performance on Fortnite), we can see why PUBG was the best game that the girls chose.

While we’re still waiting for Blackpink’s official role-playing game, a Twitter user decided to tease us with each of the members’ PUBG custom skins and even their weapons including a pink killer gun. Do we see Lisa’s signature blunt bob right there? ?

Whoever leaked these rumored skins is a hero. Finally, we’ll be able to know what it feels like to be in Jennie Kim’s shoes—quite literally or even get a feel of Rosé’s rose-colored hair. Imagine how this PUBG collab would actually play out in augmented reality like Pokemon Go? The power that these girls hold. Now where’d our pink military plane go?
