The stereotypical idea of a beauty queen is that they should just look good and smile and wave. But as we’ve seen time and time again, beauty queens are much more than looks. A true queen is a role model who shines and promotes all aspects of life, such as where they come from. That was the case for the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 delegates as they created their own tourism videos for their respective town, city, province, and country as they showcased the beauty of the Philippines and beyond through their eyes.

Miss Universe Philippines let the queens promote their hometowns and provinces not just to the rest of the country, but to the universe. And while all the videos were wholehearted efforts to represent the best of where they came from, a few tourism videos stood out for all the right reasons. Scroll down for some of our favorite Miss Universe Philippines 2024 tourism videos that made us want to book a trip this summer.

BACOOR – VICTORIA VELASQUEZ VINCENT

At this point, Cavite should hire Victoria to be their tourism ambassador. Moving away from the typical tourism video, the effort finds her depicting what a day in the life of a bunso living in Bacoor is like. Through this POV, she gave a different side of the city as someone who lives there. It felt like a regular girl showing us around her hometown, and it worked.

BAGUIO – TARAH VALENCIA

From sunrise to sunset, with an evermore cloak included, Tarah gives us many reasons to enjoy Baguio. While Baguio is no stranger to tourists, Tarah showcases the city in a more personal and cultural angle through the people and artisans who make the city what it is. It made it feel like a place worth going to for more than just the weather.

BUKIDNON – NATASHA JANE BAJUYO

Culture, heritage, and nature come together for this thrilling trip across Bukidnon. And the cinematography? 11/10. Ethnic tribes, key products, and lush landscapes all take center stage in the video, which makes for a tantalizing peak into this province in Northern Mindanao

CAINTA – STACEY DANIELLA GABRIEL

To some, Cainta is for cafes with scenic views. But Stacey is here to prove that Cainta is so much more than just a trip outside the Metro for a cup of coffee and views for the IG. She marries the cityscape with its stunning nature to bring home the point that Cainta is a melting pot of culture and modernity.

ILOILO CITY – ALEXIE BROOKS

Starting the video with a story on her and her lola selling at the market, Alexie sets the stage for a tourism video that showcases Iloilo City’s promise for dreams to be born and made into reality. You can tell Alexie loves her hometown, and it emanates throughout the video.

NUEVA ECIJA – MAICA CABLING MARTINEZ

If fun is what you’re looking for, that’s what you’ll get in this tourism video for Nueva Ecija. It’s non-stop shots of the many adventures and experiences you’ll have in the province. But more than that, it also rightly gives a spotlight to the important but often forgotten farmers of the province.

PAMPANGA – CYRILLE PAYUMO

Heading to Pampanga this summer and need to fill out your itinerary? Cyrille Payumo has you covered with her tourism video that showcases the cultural, environmental, and economic wonders of the province.

QUEZON PROVINCE – AHTISA MANALO

It’s giving energy, and we’re here for it. With no voiceover and in less than two minutes, Ahtisa takes us on a vibrant tour of what Quezon Province has to offer. The pictures and snapshots give the feel that it really is a trip across the province and something you too can do and experience when you get there.

TAGUIG – CHRISTI MCGARRY

Think of Taguig, and BGC will probably come to mind for many people. But Christi is here to show that the city is more than just an urban center. Her tourism video smartly focuses on both the urban and rural sides of Taguig, showcasing how both can co-exist. Yes, Taguig has urban sprawl, but if you go beyond that, it has much more to offer.

ZAMBALES – ANITA ROSE GOMEZ

Anita Rose Gomez says so much without saying anything at all. The two-minute video has the beauty queen traversing Zambales’ many wonders that go from stunning beaches to gorgeous terrains, cultural sites, and more. NGL, those mangoes look good. We might head to Zambales just to try them.
