If you’ve been on social media as of late, then you probably know that Spotify Wrapped 2022 is finally here. You probably even done it yourself. Spotify’s yearly campaign of showing users what they listened to always elicits its fair share of comments, reactions, and memes. But while most of the talk gets directed towards the listener, Spotify Wrapped also applies to artists on the platform.
In case you didn’t know, musicians on Spotify also get their own version of Wrapped, but instead of showing them their top songs and artists, it shows their stats of the year like number of streams, increase in playlist inclusions, top fans, and even most shared lyrics.
The musicians we talk about that fill our top five also have their own Wrapped in almost like a peak-behind-the-curtain moment. And quite a few local artists have took to social media to share their take on Wrapped and showing how well they did in the year. Some include a heartfelt thank you message to their fans for the support while others reflect on how much growth they had just from 2021 alone.
