After leading the UST Golden Tigresses to a top four finish in UAAP Season 84’s Women’s Volleyball, Eya Laure is back to lead UST once more in Season 85. The Cherry Tiggo Crossovers member is looking to cap off her UAAP career with a bang with her final stint in the competition, which also happens to be during her sign year. But regardless of how this upcoming season goes for the star spiker, Eya already has had a golden career in the UAAP, most notably being named the 2019 UAAP Rookie of the Year and being a key player in UST’s finals placement that same year.
SHARLENE SAN PEDRO (April 5, 1999)
Even after years in the industry, Sharlene is still going strong. If she isn’t busy working on her growing music career, she’s scoring points in her flourishing game streaming career or graduating college. And this 2023, Sharlene is going to have a major career moment with her appearance in Prime Video’s first original Filipino movie, Sampung Mga Kerida. The role marks the actress’s first major movie in a few years, so we’re ready for this acting comeback.
KISSES DELAVIN (May 1, 1999)
Ever since she competed in the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 tilt, Kisses Delavin has been pretty much MIA, which isn’t exactly a bad thing. But we’re hoping the year has some exciting plans for Kisses. Even if she no longer wants to work in the entertainment industry, we would still be excited to see what she hopes to do next in her life. Ever since he competed in season one of The Voice Teens, Jeremy has been slowly but surely building his career to become one of Gen Z’s most exciting new voices. 2022 saw Jeremy make his acting debut in the musical Lyric and Beat as well as drop his debut EP, so momentum is on his side.
CJ CANSINO (October 23, 1999)
2022 was a rollercoaster for the UP Fighting Maroons. They made history when they beat Ateneo for the Season 84 championship only to lose it months later to the boys in blue the following season. So this 2023, UP is looking to reclaim its glory, and helping lead that charge is CJ Cansino. While Season 85 saw CJ go to the sidelines as he recovered from surgery on his right knee, the basketball player is ready to hit the court this upcoming Season 86. His return couldn’t come at a better time with star players like Henry Galinato, Zav Lucro, and Carl Tamayo no longer playing for UP.
HEAVEN PERALEJO (November 25, 1999)
The earth’s latest revolution around the sun is looking to be a lucky one for Heaven. While some just recognize the former PBB housemate based on the showbiz intrigue that has followed her, Heaven is actually a pretty good actress. That can be seen in her roles like Me-Ann in Nanahimik ang Gabi where she was a definitive highlight of the film. And speaking of acting, 2023 will see Heaven in arguably her most high-profile role to date, that of the lead female character of Luna in The Rain in Espana adaptation. A lot has been said about this adaptation so we’re just hoping Heaven can give justice to one of our favorite female characters in Wattpad.
