6 Times Filipino Celebrities Interviewed Other Celebrities That Lowkey Need To Be Archived

Still thinking about that time Anne Curtis interviewed Dua Lipa over Zoom.

When it comes to being a celebrity, getting interviewed comes with the territory. Press junkets, media interviews, Q&A sessions, such is the life of a celebrity. But with all the same questions being asked over and over, we imagine it can get boring for these stars to try to find new ways to articulate a new answer. This is why it feels like a breath of fresh air when the roles reverse as the interviewee becomes the interviewer.

The sub-genre of celebrities interviewing other celebrities can definitely get people talking with these unexpected interactions. It can also show the star in a new light as they flex their interview skills (which isn’t as easy to have as some might think). Scroll down for some of our favorite interviews between Filipino and international celebrities.

CATRIONA GRAY WITH ANNE HATHAWAY AND NICHOLAS GALITZINE

Whoever at Prime Video thought of this idea needs a raise ASAP. During Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine’s press tour for their movie, The Idea Of You, the two actors were interviewed by Miss Universe 2018 herself, Catriona Gray. While Cat only had five minutes to do the interview, she made the most of it with interesting questions that went beyond the typical press interview. Even if it wasn’t in person, the visual of seeing these three on the same screen is everything we need to get through the week.

ANNE CURTIS WITH DUA LIPA

We aren’t counting, but if we were, Anne Curtis is currently winning the Dua Lipa Filipino stan contest. Not only did the actress get front-row tickets to Dua’s first concert in the Philippines and got a birthday greeting from the musician, but Anne also interviewed Dua back in 2020 about her Future Nostalgia era. You can feel Anne’s fangirling radiating from the screen.

KRISTEL FULGAR WITH SEO-IN-GUK

Kristel Fulgar is many things in life, and that includes being a successful Seo-In-Guk fan. Her biggest achievement? Getting to interview him when he was promoting his single album, LOVE&LOVE. In a mix of English and Korean, Kristel chatted with the Replay actor for 15 minutes and asked a range of questions as well as shared her love and admiration for him. We would do the same, TBH.

LA AGUINALDO WITH THE CAST OF AVENGERS INFINITY WAR

You just had to be there. Avengers Infinity War was a cinematic experience unlike any other that was only beaten by its sequel a year later. And in this historic moment, LA Aguinaldo flew to Singapore and had the opportunity to interview some of the movie’s cast like Benedict Cumberbatch and Karen Gillan. This wasn’t the only time LA interviewed another celebrity as he got to talk to artists like Troye Sivan and 5 Seconds of Summer, but this is just extra special.

HOPE SOBERANO WITH LIZA SOBERANO

Queen of interviewing herself. In this meta and semi-satirical interview, Liza plays double duty as Hope, the interviewer, and Liza, the celebrity persona of the actress being interviewed. And she kills both roles.

ANJI SALVACION WITH TNX

In the realm of Filipino celebrities interacting with K-pop artists, we didn’t see Anji Salvacion doing a Tagalog Challenge with boy group TNX coming. But we’re kinda here for it with how Anji isn’t afraid to try new things in her career.
