From Wattpad to the screen, He’s Into Her has become an entertainment force in whichever format it is presented. Expectations were sky high when it was announced that HIH was being adapted into a series, but after the show dropped in the middle of last year, many were convinced that the show was a worthy adaptation. It became one of the most talked about and watched local TV shows of the year, so naturally, it got renewed for another season. Season two of He’s Into Her is now finally upon us with a release date of sometime this year. As of this writing, details are still under wraps, but from what we can gather, the upcoming season looks to be an exciting one. Here’s what we know so far about He’s Into Her season two.

THE STORY LOOKS TO DELIVER ON THE DRAMA

While we still don’t what exactly the storyline of season two will be, based on what has been released, He’s Into Her is looking to be just as dramatic as season one. In particular, the teaser trailer they released last year showed us a glimpse of what we can expect. We see that Max and Deib are happy in their relationship. But it looks like things aren’t smooth sailing for the couple as it seems that Deib will be experiencing some trust issues with Max. And in the second teaser trailer, it appropriately teased that Max and Deib’s happy ending might not be so certain. Exactly what caused these issues, we don’t know yet. But it’s important to note that season one left us with some tantalizing cliffhangers, including that final scene involving Deib’s brother and Max’s uncle.

EXPECT SOME LOOSE PLOT THREADS TO BE TIDIED UP

While season one of He’s Into Her ended on a satisfying note, there were still a few plot lines that weren’t fully resolved. It looks like season two is going to delve into these concerns. Belle Mariano revealed in an interview that when she read the script for the new season, she was happily surprised how the plot is going to answer some questions even Belle had about her character.

“I’ve actually read the script na, some of the script, and wow! Wow, I was just really amazed. Sobrang galing po ng writer, si Ms. Van [Vanessa Valdez], sobrang husay. Natutuwa ako kasi lahat talaga nu’ng mga katanungan ko nu’ng season 1, even me who’s portraying Max, ang dami ko pa ring questions nu’ng season 1. And now, nasagot ’yung mga tanong ko nu’ng binasa ko ’yung script ng season two.” What exactly these questions are we’ll just have to wait and see.

MOST OF THE ORIGNAL CAST AND CREW WILL RETURN

For those of you who enjoyed watching the original cast, you’re in luck as most of them are returning. Of course, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano are returning as Deib and Max respectively. Prepare also to see more of Vivoree Esclito, Kaori Oinuma, Ashley del Mundo, Criza Taa, Dalia Varde, Joao Constancia, Gello Marquez, and Limer Veloso. On the production side, Vanessa Valdez, head writer of season one, and Chad Vidanes, the director of season one, will also be returning to their respective roles.

It’s not just the original cast who you’ll see back in season two. The upcoming season will also feature a new set of cast members. A total of eight new actors are set to appear in HIH season two. They are Reich Alim, Rajo Serrano, Shanaia Gomez, Mikha Lim (from BINI), CJ Salonga, Zach Castaneda, River Joseph, and JC Alcantara. While there exact roles have yet to be revealed, it will be exciting to see what they bring to the season. Fun fact, this actually serves as Mikha’s first acting role outside of her work for BINI.

KUMU PARTNERED WITH HE’S INTO HER TO CAST NEW CHARACTERS

In January 2022, kumu announced a campaign where streamers had the chance to audition for a role for season two. From January 10-18, kumu streamers had to accumulate the greatest number of points to be included in the top 10 list. The top 10 streamers would then be given the opportunity to audition for a role on the show. In the end, Esnyr Ranollo, Bea Carlos, and Kerwin King won a spot to appear as an undisclosed role in the season finale. Make sure to keep an eye out for them.

SEASON TWO IS CURRENTLY FILMING

On February 5, 2022, it was revealed that the lock-in taping for season two began thanks to pics shared by the crew. Based on the photos shared, it looks like we’ll be returning to Benison International School as well as The Barb.

HE’S INTO HER SEASON TWO HAS A NEW LOGO, THEME SONG, AND RELEASE DATE

iWant TFC decided to give us a three-in-one special with their latest teaser. First, we got out first look at season two’s new logo. It still uses the same red and blue color scheme, but this time, it has a brighter, almost solid 3D aesthetic to it with a hint of a neon glow. We also got a snippet of the new theme song for the season sang by BGYO. Given how much of a banger season one’s theme song was, this is welcome news.

And lastly, we finally got a release date of April 22, 2022. Like before, you’ll be able to stream the series on iWantTFC when it premiers. It will also air on TV starting April 24 on the Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z. In the meantime, you can checkout iWantTFC’s YouTube channel as they post extra content featuring the cast every Monday.
