It looks like 2023 is proving to be an exciting one for Filipino television, with new announcements and teasers dropping left and right. And this time, another one of the hottest Gen Z love teams out there, KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad, also fondly known as KDLex, will be joining a star-studded cast of no less than a historic teleserye – a first for the beloved dynamic duo Intriguingly titled, Pira-Pirasong Paraiso, here’s what we can expect from this momentous offering.
THE PLOT
By the looks of the recently released teaser trailer, it seems that Pira-Pirasong Paraiso will be packed with mystery, drama, romance and everything in between. “Isang palaisipan ang aming bubuksan,” the ominous narration reveals. “Kung saan talo ang mabilis magtiwala, talo ang mga naniniwala.” While the full plot details have yet to be revealed, the short clip hints at a theme of trust, or lack thereof, and “a game of lies.” And we all know that for the Filipino audience, this subject always resonates and entails a gripping storyline.
THE CAST
Aside from Alexa Ilacad and KD Estrada, Pira-Pirasong Paraiso boasts a star-studded cast of some of the country’s most sought-after talents. Joining the popular love team are this generation’s leading men Ronnie Alonte and Joseph Marco, and the next generation of dramatic actresses, which include Elisse Joson, Charlie Dizon, and Loisa Andalio.
THE CREATIVE TEAM
Pira-Pirasong Paraiso is the first joint venture by ABS-CBN Entertainment and TV5. This is another historic collaboration following the former’s partnership with GMA Network for the series, Unbreak My Heart. Raymund Ocampo, the creator of the smash-hit teleserye Wildflower, will helm Paraiso while Dreamscape Entertainment (known for successful shows like Doble Kara, Love Thy Woman, and Kadenang Ginto) will produce.

We understand the excitement that comes with the announcement of this exciting teleserye, but it seems we have to wait just a little bit longer for the release date. Rest assured, it’s coming this year and it will be available for viewing via the Kapamilya Channel, TV 5, The Filipino Channel, and iWantTFC. This means that viewers from different parts of the country and even those overseas will be able to tune in and follow KDLex and the rest of the cast in uncovering the secrets of Pira-Pirasong Paraiso.
