Starring Janine Gutierrez, Zanjoe Marudo, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, and more, ‘Dirty Linen’ packs a twisted revenge tale that might be your next obsession.
There’s no doubt that 2022 has seen some of the best moments of Philippine television. From the success of the two-season teen-oriented series He’s Into Her and the Gen Z retelling of Noli Me Tangere in Maria Clara at Ibarra, to the acclaimed Doctor Foster adaptation The Broken Marriage Vow, the ever-trending Darna, and KathNiel’s comeback in 2 Good 2 Be True, it’s been a vibrant year for Filipinos and the small screen. And for 2023, it seems that Pinoys are starting their binge habit in the new year with a bang as ABS-CBN Entertainment and Dreamscape Entertainment have prepared a suspenseful, thrilling, and action-packed experience with their newest offering, Dirty Linen.

DIRTY LINEN
“The name that has been stained by lies will be washed by truth.” In Dirty Linen’s newly released official full trailer, Janine Gutierrez’s character seeks to avenge her mother’s death at the hands of a prominent clan. And by the looks of it, the new Kapamilya series packs a gripping storytelling and dynamic visuals that will put you on the edge of your seat.
First unveiled in May, Dirty Linen entered production in July and was announced to be helmed by esteemed TV directors Andoy Ranay (The Good Son and The Broken Marriage Vow) and the Wildflower maker Onat Diaz. Just like in the Maja Salvador-starring, four-season spanning Wildflower, Diaz finds himself summoning a similar world where a powerful family (from the Ardientes to the Fieros) reigns as the primary antagonists and with murder, vengeance, and betrayal as the main narrative propellers.
Only this time, it seems that the stakes are much higher and there’s more blood involved. From the short glimpse afforded by the trailer, the killing of a worker named Olivia (played by Golden Globe nominee Dolly de Leon) by the eminent Fero clan starts a vicious and redemptive cycle of revenge and deception. The murder then fuels the life purpose of Olivia’s daughter (Janine Gutierrez), as she stops at nothing to exact retribution, even if this means working for the same powerful family her mother has worked for.
Dirty Linen features an intense and engrossing premise to say the least, but what will give you more reason to watch it is its powerhouse acting ensemble. The show is headlined by Gutierrez and Zanjoe Marudo while Philippine entertainment heavyweights John Arcilla, Janice De Belen, Angel Aquino, Tessie Tomas, and Epy Quizon also star. Joining Gutierrez’s character in her pursuit of justice are Joel Torre, Christian Bables, and Jennica Garcia (who also marks her Kapamilya debut).
Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin are also notably part of the star-studded cast where they are part of a love team for the very first time. Amping the celebrity power even higher are Susan Africa, Soliman Cruz, JC Santos, Xyriel Manabat, Andrea del Rosario, and Raven Rigor with special participations of Dolly de Leon, Ruby Ruiz, Liza Diño, and Karl Medina.
“It’s not enough for them to just die for everything they have done to our loved ones,” says Janine Gutierrez’s lead role. “They will suffer all the pain they inflicted on us. Double, more painful.” Watch how lies get washed by truth as Dirty Linen airs in January 2023 on the Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Jeepney TV, A2Z and TV5. You can also catch it on iWantTFC and TFC.
