Started in 2018 as a planner business that has since expanded to other products, Pouf is all about using everyday essentials to live your best life. “I was inspired by my love for planning and wanted to share a simple, no-fuss way to help people organize their day,” says Winnie Wong, the brand’s founder, in an interview with NYLON Manila. From planners to clear zip organizers called PoufZips, Pouf strips the bells and whistles for everyday items you understand at first glance and get to the core of their purpose.

It’s a thrust that bore from Wong’s frustrations with planners that were doing too much, so she “focused on cutting out the noise and creating something that emphasizes what truly matters” and hasn’t looked back since. This intentionality is woven into Pouf’s DNA, including its noted simple and minimalist yet chic designs. It’s an aesthetic that goes beyond looking good for the IG feed. “It’s about achieving clarity—both visually and in life—by creating clean, functional designs that are easy to integrate into anyone’s routine,” she explains.

If you could describe Pouf PH to someone who hasn’t heard of it yet, how would you describe it to them?

Pouf started in 2018 as a planner business. I was inspired by my love for planning and wanted to share a simple, no-fuss way to help people organize their day. Everyday essentials resonate with my belief that small, intentional changes can make a big difference in how we approach life. Our products are designed to simplify daily routines and create systems that help people feel more in control. Whether it’s a planner, a clear zip organizer, or a document folder, each item supports the goal of helping people live better, more intentional lives.
Where did the name “Pouf” come from, and what does it symbolize?
The name “Pouf” was inspired by our first fragrance launch, which symbolized simplicity and ease. The word itself feels light and effortless—like the sound of a spray bottle or a gentle puff of air. It captures the essence of solving problems in an instant, making life a little easier with just one “pouf.”

Pouf’s aesthetic is decidedly minimalist yet chic. Could you share the visual identity behind the brand?
Our visual identity is rooted in cutting out the unnecessary and focusing on what’s truly important. It’s about achieving clarity—both visually and in life—by creating clean, functional designs that are easy to integrate into anyone’s routine. We want our products to inspire simplicity and structure, helping our customers take charge of their goals and lives.
What is your favorite Pouf product to use, and what is one underrated product you think more people should check out?
My favorite has to be our Pouf Zips. They’re clear, zip organizers that can be used for just about anything—from baby items to travel essentials. They’re so versatile, and they’ve truly elevster how I stay organized. An underrated gem would be our document folders. They keep my most important papers safe and accessible.

What’s one thing about starting a business that you think more people should know about?
Starting a business isn’t just about having a great idea—it’s about persistence. There will be challenges, slow days, and moments of self-doubt, but staying focused on your purpose will get you through. You also need to embrace adaptability because things rarely go exactly as planned.
What advice would you give to young people who may want to start their own business or brand in the future?
Start with a problem you’re passionate about solving. When your purpose is clear, everything else—branding, product development, and marketing—will fall into place. Also, don’t be afraid to start small. Test your ideas, learn from feedback, and keep refining until you find your stride.
