It’s finally happening. James Reid proves that he is a global music star as he tours stateside for the first time with lovescene: 2023 North American Tour.
It seems that there’s no stopping Filipino-Australian multi-hyphenate James Reid from taking on the global music stage as he goes on full Hollywood with the recent announcement of his first-ever North American tour that’s slated for next year. Widening his reach and proving his undeniable appeal, the R&B singer and co-founder of indie label Careless has announced the dates for his stateside takeover that’s named after his latest album, lovescene:.
LOVESCENE: NORTH AMERICAN TOUR 2023
On December 13, 2022, the actor, singer-songwriter, and entrepreneur broke the news to his excited fans that starting next year, he will be touring the United States and Canada for the first time ever. This follows the release of James’ sophomore 10-track album lovescene:.
It’s a lucky day for the stateside fans as they’ll experience James Reid being back on the stage again after four years and with fire music to boot. James’ Careless Music-produced singles like u & i and lie to me, which features American singer Destiny Rogers (also a fresh addition to Careless Music’s roster of talents), have already amassed millions of views on YouTube.
James previously teased his tour in an interview before where he’s also emphasized his passion to continue repping Filipino talent globally. “It’s been a crazy year coming out to LA for the first time getting a chance to work with so many world-class producers and artist,” intimates James. “I’m really proud of this album and what it means as a Filipino artist trying to break boundaries. There’s not much representation for Filipinos globally outside of stereotypes so it’s exciting to see where this will all go.”
In a Billboard exclusive, it was revealed that Wasserman Music (which represents James for global bookings except the Philippines) will manage the tour alongside Transparent Arts, a company founded by the Far East Movement which foregrounds Asian talent worldwide. James Reid will kick off the tour with shows in Texas and New Jersey in January before going to Canada and back to California in February.
Before his much-awaited comeback tour, James Reid will also be attending Careless Music’s Wavy Baby Festival in Mandaue city, Cebu with other host of local and international music acts like GOT7’s BamBam, Pink Sweat$, and Ben&Ben. Here’s hoping James brings his lovescene tour to the Philippines as well.
