Everything You Need To Know About This Filipino-American Actor On Euphoria

line
He's actually Elliot IRL.

Here’s everything you need to know about Dominic Fike, the actor who plays Elliot on Euphoria season two.

(WARNING: Parts of the story talk about drug addiction. Major spoilers for Euphoria season two ahead.)

Raise your hands if you felt personally victimized by season two of HBO’s Euphoria. ? At this point, the show’s just toying with our emotions. Although we understand that all of these teens who have very specific *issues* that dress cool and attend geometry classes sometimes have their own traumas to tell (cause who doesn’t?). It’s also fun to see the cast growing bigger with the introduction of new characters who may or may not ruin the complex hierarchy of the suburban drama.

One of them is Dominic Fike who plays Elliot. In the first episode, we come face to face once again with Rue Bennett (played by Zendaya) who revealed that she relapsed from her drug addiction when her on-and-off SO Jules left town. She meets a new kid named Elliot who she caught with drugs in the laundry room and joins him while hiding from Jules at a party. Unsurprisingly, Rue almost died—again. ?‍♀️

Curiously, we’ve done a little bit of stalking, erm, research on Dominic Fike and we found out that he’s actually of Filipino and Haitian descent and grew up in Florida. Apparently, he’s also a singer that has collaborated with Justin Bieber, Halsey, and yep, he’s caused a bit of a trouble too in the past, just like his character Elliot in Euphoria. 1. DOMINIC FIKE STARTED OUT AS A MUSICIAN

Dominic Fike first caught the attention of the Internet on Soundcloud in 2017. He recorded his EP Don’t Forget About Me, Demos while on house arrest, which he eventually violated and served jail time for. Eventually, he landed a record deal and was able to release songs in 2018, which became chart-toppers in some countries.

2. HE’S COLLABORATED WITH BROCKHAMPTON’S KEVIN ABSTRACT, JUSTIN BIEBER, AND PAUL MCCARTNEY

Brockhampton introduced Dominic to their fans on YouTube and included his new music. This led to having multiple collaborations with member Kevin Abstract. Halsey had a song Dominic’s Interlude in 2020 with him and last year, he was featured on one of Justin Bieber’s tracks, Die For You. Probably one of his most notable collabs was with The Beatles member Paul McCartney in 2021 for The Kiss of Venus.

3. DOMINIC WAS A HEADLINER AT A FORTNITE CONCERT

With his nostalgic, alt-rock/rap sound, it wasn’t a surprise that Dominic Fike would be headlining one of Fortnite’s concerts in 2020. The game’s Party Royale concert series, Spotlight, featured Dominic performing songs from his LP, What Could Possibly Go Wrong and was live in-game.

4. HE’S COLLABORATED WITH MARC JACOBS

For Dominic Fike’s sold out tour in 2019, he collaborated with Marc Jacobs for a limited edition hoodie.

5. EUPHORIA IS HIS FIRST ACTING ROLE

Sometimes we wonder if Dominic’s really acting or if he’s Elliot IRL, which makes it hard to believe that this is his debut. When it was announced last year that he was going to be part of Euphoria’s cast for season two, the responses were mostly positive and applauded for its diversity. Well, we’re dying to find out in season two if he’s actually going to be a good or bad influence to Rue since she’s been spending more time with him than Jules. Funny enough, he was spotted holding hands recently with Hunter Schafer and they actually look kinda cute together. Welp.
