One of the biggest pop culture moments of the year is upon us. We are of course talking about the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 coronation night. Like clockwork, pageant fans, pop culture fanatics, and curious netizens come together to root for their faves, hope their picks win, or just watch for that next viral meme on social media. This year, 66 candidates will be vying for the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 crown, with the winner competing for the title of Miss Universe 2025 on November 21 in Thailand.
Among the contestants hoping to do that are a mix of first-timers in the pageant scene as well as a handful of seasoned queens such as Winwyn Marquez and Ahtisa Manalo. Also, this marks the first coronation night and Miss Universe Philippines pageant since Ariella Arida became the national director of the Miss Universe Philippines Organization. HOSTS WITH THE MOSTS

“Magandang Gabbi!” Gabbi Garcia continues her hot streak in hosting as she’s set to serve as one of the event’s main hosts. Joining her on the main stage will be Xian Lim, who has his fair share of pageants hosted under his belt. Rounding out this year’s hosts are Erika Kristensen-Lee and Tim Yap, who will serve as backstage hosts. Unfortunately, Alden Richards is not returning this year as a host so we won’t be getting a part two of his viral hosting skills.
THE NIGHT’S ENTERTAINMENT

This year, the queens, attendees, and viewers at home will be serenaded by performances from James Reid and Marlo Mortel, who were tapped to be the night’s performers. The former even released a special track for the pageant titled Love The Chase.

Aside from the fact that Chelsea Manalo will be on hand to crown her successor, the coronation night will also feature a handful of special VIP guests in what is sure to be a star-studded audience. Most notably, Miss Universe 2024 Victoria Kjær Theilvig will be in attendance, along with the rest of the inaugural continental queens announced during Miss Universe 2024: Miss Universe Africa & Oceania Chidimma Adetshina, Miss Universe Europe & Middle East Matilda Wirtavuori, and Miss Universe Americas Tatiana Calmell. No pressure on the contestants though.

The Miss Universe Philippines 2025 coronation night takes place at the SM Mall Of Asia Arena on May 2, 6 PM. If you’d like to watch it go down live and in person, tickets are still available and will cost from 550 pesos (Gen Ad) to 10,590 pesos (VIP). But if you can’t go to the arena, no problem. There are other ways you can catch the coronation night. The event will stream live on Empire Philippines’ YouTube channel while GMA Network returns as the official broadcast partner, airing a delayed telecast of the pageant on May 4 on GMA Network and GTV.
