Since May 2022, K-pop concerts, fanmeets, events, and the like have returned in the fullest of forces to the country every week, much to the joy of the millions of Pinoy K-fans. No longer are people stuck at home watching their faves on the screen and can instead have the chance to see them in person. And among the tens of thousands of fans who have managed to do just that, it includes a handful of celebs. Like many of us, these stars were ready to see their fave idols live and left the venue with happy memories that could last a lifetime. Let’s take a look at some of the local stars who recently went to K-pop concerts and fanmeets.
LIZA SOBERANO
Liza Soberano is going to be our K-pop manifestation inspiration this 2023 given how she not only went to BLACKPINK’s LA show in November 2022, but even met Jennie and Lisa backstage. Liza is that typa girl who meets their faves up close and in person.

ITZY’S two-day concert in Manila was the first major K-pop event of 2023 in the country. Naturally, it brought out a few stars who wanted to see the quarter live. And those stars included SB19’s Josh, Justin, and Stell who were spotted getting down to bops like WANNABE, DALLA DALLA, and more.

Paolo Sandejas’ music is loved by a few idols. And that feeling is mutual. The musician revealed his inner MIDZY when he went to the Manila ITZY concert all while sporting his Ryujin headband.

ITZY’s Manila concert was a star-studded affair. Also spotted in the crowd was 4TH IMPACT who were lucky enough to bag VIP tickets. But if that wasn’t enough, Lia even completed one of the member’s hearts.

It’s no secret that Francine Diaz is a major K-lover who’s not shy to talk about her love of K-pop and K-drama. So, it was no surprise to see that she, along with Seth, sat in the front row at Minho’s recent fanmeet in Manila.
KIM CHIU
When your ultimate K-pop girl group is going on tour, nothing is stopping you from seeing them live, not even work. And that includes Kim Chiu who, despite having a hectic schedule filming ASAP in Las Vegas, found the time to see BLACKPINK. As she shared in her vlog, Kim flew from Las Vegas to Atlanta just to see the group’s concert. But the traveling and jetlag were well worth it since the actress had the soundcheck experience.

Going abroad to see your fave can make for an unforgettable experience. That’s exactly what happened with Gaia Poly when she flew to Bangkok in early January for BLACKPINK’s concert. The content creator appropriately wore an all-pink ‘fit and documented her experience at the concert. From organized lines, clean toilets, freebies from a Thai Bl actor, and staying in VIP, Gaia was enjoying the moment.

Like many BLINKS, Rei Germar flew to Bangkok to see BLACKPINK perform in Lisa’s homeland. But unlike most fans, her flight landed at 5:00 PM, and she had to rush to the concert venue in two hours. Impressively, she made it on time. Jetsetters for BP.

It’s no secret that Cassy is a big fan of K-pop. But the fact that she both went to Jessi’s historic concert in Manila and meet her backstage, she’s living the life.

This is the real dogshow. During one of her livestreams, Mikha shared that she was rushing to attend the ITZY concert as she was running late. The problem though was that when she entered the venue, she saw that it was an actual dog show. It turns out that her taxi dropped her off at Araneta Coliseum, not MOA Arena where the concert was happening. At least, it was a memorable day for the P-pop idol.
