Homecomings seem to be a big theme this year so far, at least when it comes to global Filipino stars. In the past few months alone, H.E.R. and beabadoobee all found the time to travel to the Philippines, both for vacation and work purposes. And honestly, we’re here for it seeing our kababayans return to the homeland as they connect deeper with their roots and heritage. Now, another star is set to join the list of long-awaited returns to the Philippines, and it’s the one and only Bretman Rock.
BRETMAN ROCK RETURNS
In case you’ve been living under a rock (pun intended), you may have heard that Bretman Rock is currently on a promotional tour for his recently released book, You’re That Bitch. Fresh from getting his whole life at the Rihanna Bowl, Bretman has been making the press rounds and sharing his life story through his first memoir. While Bretman is no stranger to authenticity, his book is arguably the most real he’s been as it serves as a deep dive into his life, background, personality, and of course, his Filipino heritage.
It’s all told through a POV only the newly-minted author can deliver, which makes for a memorable read and audiobook experience. Given how personal the book is then, it only felt fair that Bretman needed to promote it in the Philippines. And that’s exactly what’s happening this March.
On the book’s release day of February 14, National Bookstore broke the news that Bretman Rock was coming back to the Philippines in March for two book signing events. The first will be held on March 4 at the Fashion Hall of SM Megamall while the second will be on March 5 at the Music Hall in SM Mall of Asia. Considering how it’s been years since Bretman last set foot in the country, this is a moment not to be missed.

As per NBS, if you would like to join the book signings, do the following steps. First, you need to buy the book through any official National Bookstore channel, whether it be physical or online. Only books bought from NBS will be eligible for the event. Next, save that invoice/receipt, because you’ll show that to the registration table on the day of the event to be eligible for the raffle. The raffle registration will be from 10 AM – 2 PM with the draw at 3 PM.
Only 150 people will be chosen to participate in each book signing which will start at 4 PM. If you weren’t chosen on day one though, don’t fret as you can still try your luck on day two. If you do manage to be chosen, you’ll be allotted one book signing and a photo with Bretman Rock.
The idea of Bretman Rock returning to the country is already making us excited. But the fact that he gets to do it while promoting his book and meeting his fans makes it even better. The first weekend of March will all be Da Baddest weekend of the year. You can grab a copy of his book now here.
