Anyone else feeling the Fenty Bowl hangover?

The Rihanna drought is finally over and our hearts can’t handle it. There’s so much to unpack and so many little details that were overlooked aside from the Bad Gal flexing her amazing discography since Pon De Replay.

Let’s be real, we might’ve taken her pop star era for granted for the longest time, and now, even with this blessing, we’re still starved with new music. While we will have to wait if that will or will not see the light of day, for now, all we can do is sit back and stream all her hits while enjoying our Fenty Gloss Bomb and get cozy in our Savage X Fenty boxers. She really gave us everything, didn’t she?

Gracing the Super Bowl half time show with her royal presence wasn’t the only treat for the Navy (her fanbase). Rihanna gave us a couple of surprises that strapped us into an emotional roller coaster and we’re totally not okay. So, shut up and drive, because you’re in for a wild ride. From Cardi B rushing to the stadium to make sure she’s not late for the “Fenty Bowl,” to ASAP Rocky wearing a jacket inspired by Riri’s Super Bowl pic that broke the Internet, here are the most heartwarming moments during the halftime show that made us melt.

WHEN HER ONLY GUEST PERFORMER WAS HER BABY BUMP

As if Rihanna making her pop star comeback didn’t make enough headlines, she decides to debut Fenty baby number two during her Super Bowl half time show by showing off her bump tucked in a red catsuit.

ASAP ROCKY WEARING A JACKET WITH RIHANNA’S “SUPERBOWL PIC” ON THE BACK

By now, we’ve already seen that wholesome video of Rihanna’s baby daddy, ASAP Rocky cheering her on during the half time show. But did anyone else pay attention to the jetails on his NFL varsity jacket? The back design featured the Super Bowl announcement photo Rihanna posted last year embroidered on the leather material. It was a custom piece made by Jeff Hamilton. In late January, he also collaborated with Rihanna and designers Mitchell and Ness for limited edition merch of caps and tees to honor her performance. Dear God, when?

RIHANNA AND PARRIS GOEBEL’S FRIENDSHIP

“A little girl from Barbados and a little girl from New Zealand grew up into boss bitches and took over the Super Bowl half time show together,” a caption reads from Parris Goebel. She’s the choreographer behind Rihanna’s bomb performances and her Savage X Fenty shows, making their friendship grow for almost a decade. “We far from home but we made it!”

HER RED COAT WAS AN HOMAGE TO AFRICAN-AMERICAN FASHION EDITOR ANDRE LEON TALLEY

André Leon Talley was the first African-American male creative director at Vogue. He was deeply-loved, especially by POC creatives for paving the way and opening doors for more people like him in the fashion industry who’s notorious for their lack of diversity. Rihanna paying homage to his legacy by wearing an Alaïa piece inspired by his famous Norma Kamali “sleeping bag coat” was just icing on the cake.

THE SUPPORT OF ALL HER CELEBRITY FRIENDS

Name a celebrity who isn’t a Navy, we’ll wait. Everybody loves Riri and that just goes to show how massive her impact is as an individual. No one else can make Cardi B run in heels to the stadium just so she wouldn’t miss Rihanna’s show. Heck, even Jay-Z took his daughter Blue Ivy’s photos before her performance. She truly is THE cultural reset.

THE SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER WAS THE REAL STAR OF THE SUPER BOWL SHOW

Justina Miles, the ASL interpreter during Rihanna’s Super Bowl performance wasn’t messing around. She popped off, danced, and even sang along to all her hits.

BONUS: HER *SHOUT OUT* TO FENTY BEAUTY

If anything, we stan a good business woman. We love how she gave a shoutout to one of her OG babies, Fenty Beauty, with the Invisimatte blotting powder making a cameo. Those cozy space suits her dancers wore? Yup, they’re available on Savage X Fenty, too. She came, she saw, she got her coins.
