FELIP, JRLDM, Dilaw, and more in one concert? Our faves are coming together for one night of great music with Warner Music Philippines.
OPM was, is, and will continue to be one of the best things to come from the Philippines. While we will always have our K-pop stars and other global acts, there’s nothing like locally-made music, whether sung in English, Tagalog, or whichever dialect, to perk up the ears. Warner Music Philippines knows this well, and in fact, that has been their mission for the last 30 years as they continuously champion Filipino music. And this April, that’s what they’re going to do once more as they bring together some of the country’s most exciting new OPM stars for a one-night concert not to be missed.
AN OPM SHOWCASE
This 2023, Warner Music Philippines is celebrating its 30th anniversary in the country. As such, the company will be marking the milestone with a series of live performances and events featuring both local and international artists as a way to bring them and their fans even closer. Jumpstarting it all is We Play Here, a concert this April that will bring together six of the country’s hottest-rising musical acts for a one-of-a-kind, high-energy event.
So, who will you expect to see at the show? Leading the way will be FELIP, the SB19 member who made a big splash in his solo career with the release of his debut EP in February. Then there’s the rising hip-hop trio PLAYERTWO. The Davao-based group recently scored a viral hit with THAT’S MY BABY and dropped a new single, TIKTOKTOKIN (and a dope music video). R&B artist JRLDM and his emotional and heartfelt flows are ready to resonate with audiences. OPM band Dilaw is also part of a lineup, and they’re a group you most likely have heard of considering how their song, Uhaw (Tayong Lahat), is currently one of the hottest tracks in the country right now.
Pop-rock band Lola Amour will have their stable of hits, such as Fallen and Pwede Ba, ready for the We Play Here crowd. And rounding up this impressive lineup is the acclaimed duo Leanne & Naara. The soul and R&B duo’s silky smooth vocals and impactful tunes are a recipe for a good time.
NOW, NEW, AND NEXT
All in all, We Play Here has a star-studded lineup that pulls from the best, most exciting, and freshest corners of OPM. “Our We Play Here series showcases and celebrates everything that is so exciting about where this generation of Filipino artists is at right now,” shares Sarah Ismail, Managing Director of Warner Music Philippines. “The acts are bigger, better, and more diverse than ever before, and our whole team is so proud of the role that Warner Music Philippines is playing in the global rise of OPM.”
We Play Here will be held at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura on April 27, at 6 PM. If you want to be a part of this OPM showcase, you can get your tickets now online here.
