Here’s Proof That Filipino BLINKS Stayed Winning In BLACKPINK’S Two-Day Manila Concert

Screaming and crying just thinking about what happened.

Given the hype the Born Pink World Tour in Bulacan had, are we that surprised Rose called Pinoy fans the loudest yet?

Filipino BLINKS arguably shut down the Philippine Arena on March 25 and 26 for what was the biggest concerts of the year so far, BLACKPINK’s Born Pink World Tour in Bulacan. Over 50,000 fans on both days braved the weekend traffic to see the biggest girl group in the world live. Given how this was BLACKPINK’s first concert in the country in over four years, the hype was realer than real. And considering how Rose said that the crowd was one of the loudest they’ve ever had, it’s safe to say that Filo BLINKS won that weekend.

It was over two nights of craziness that fans, nor the girls themselves, are going to forget anytime soon. Here’s a roundup of the some of the best moments of the concert to sooth that PCD or FOMO.

THE JENNIE BUS

Filo BLINKS came prepared for the whole weekend. Even going to the arena, fans rented buses and decked them out in honor of each member, like this blue Jennie bus. Now that’s a bus we’d love to ride.

PINOY LISA STANS HAVING FLYING BANNERS

This is what happens when you have a loving and dedicated fandom with some money to spare. On both days of the concert, Lisa stans charted airplanes to fly banners over the arena, with day one welcoming Lisa to the Philippines and day two greeting her an early happy birthday. Nothing but the best for Lalisa.

KDLEX WAITING IN LINE

It wasn’t just fans who showed up to the Philippine Arena but a parade of celebrities, too such as Kyline Alcantara, Darren Espanto, Kendra Kramer, Mimiyuuuh, Zeinab Harake, SB19, and more. But one of our favorite spotting was KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad. They looked like every other fan patiently waiting to enter the venue as they ate McDo on the arena floor.

JANENELLA AT THE CONCERT

The joy of seeing this public JaneNella sighting is that the two weren’t initially going to the concert. As shared on a live a few months ago, Jane and Janella weren’t able to secure tickets for BP. Clearly, they found a way as the two fangirls got their life on day one.

PERFORMING ICE CREAM

Mind you, Ice Cream is not included on the set list. So, the fact that the girls sang it on both days of sound check, a first for the tour, means that Filo BLINKS are really special.

FANS MISTAKING THIS FAN FOR BP

The wonders a black van and tinted windows can do for you.

LISA’S “EVERYONE SILENT”

Your honor, exhibit A of Filipino K-pop fans being some of the best in the world. The way the world’s largest indoor arena went silent when Lisa said “everyone silent” gave us shivers. Who’s doing it like Filo BLINKS?

BLINKS SINGING HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KUMA

It was a weekend of birthdays for BLACKPINK’s Bulacan concerts. And for day one, it was none other than Jennie’s brown Pomeranian, Kuma, which Jennie wanted to celebrate. Naturally, Filo BLINKS obliged.

You really are that fandom when BLACKPINK has nothing but good things to say about your behavior. Filo BLINKS came ready and prepared to sing their hearts out and the girls took notice. Jennie complimented Pinoy fans for how they’re always singing and dancing, Lisa got chills from the screams, Jisoo was visibly excited, and Rose said that it was one of their loudest crowd yet.

THIS JENLISA MOMENT

From Jennie and Lisa getting cute to Jisoo seemingly grinding on Rose, the fruit basket was on full display.

ROSE HELPING ANDREA BRILLANTES PROMPOSE TO RICCI RIVERO

And this is what you call winning in life. During day two, Rose noticed that Andrea was holding a sign asking her to help her prompose. Then, Andrea put up another sign that Rose read aloud. “I just wanna ask Ricci Rivero, will you go to prom with Andrea?,” said Rose. Of course, Ricci said yes and the girls swooned with the kilig. Not a lot of people can say that they got BLACKPINK to help them prompose.

BP AND BLINKS CELEBRATING LISA’S BIRTHDAY

Even if it was a day before her actually birthday, the girls and fans were ready to celebrate her 26th birthday. As the entire arena sang happy birthday, staff wheeled out her intricate birthday cake designed by Filipino stans.

JISOO (SLIGHTLY) SPOILING HER SOLO DEBUT

We’re just days away from Jisoo finally dropping her solo debut and Filo BLINKS were lucky enough to see her do a small slice of choreography. Don’t be shy Jisoo, give us more.

ROSE BEING CUTE

Rose popping her head out before the start of day two’s soundcheck is one of the many reason why quite a few BLINKS were biased-wrecked by the Australian during the concert.

ONE OF THE BEST PINK WAVE OCEANS YET

When Jisoo said pink ocean in Pink Venom, this is what she meant. BLINKS did the pink wave for nearly a minute to the point where Rose had to tell fans to stop.

BOOMBAYAH (LISA’S VERSION)

@her_choicephofficial Boombayah supremacy is real! #blackpinkofficial #blackpink #blackpinkinmanila ♬ original sound – Her Choice Ph

As day two was nearing its end, BLINKS requested for the girls to sing BOOMBAYAH. And given that it was Lisa’s birthday, they agreed to do it as her treat. And since it was Lisa’s birthday treat, the members wholesomely changed the lyrics from Boombayah to Lisayah. The wait for BP was so worth it to see special moments like this.

THE BLINK AND THEIR RING LIGHT

@smnthabbygl No lightstick? No problem 🤣 #bornpinkinmanila #blackpinkconcert #lisa #jennie #jisoo #rosé ♬ original sound – smnthabbygl • IG

Lightsticks are a regular sight in K-pop concerts. But a fan bringing a ring light to day one of BLACKPINK’s Bulacan concert is something else. Even the girls noticed the ring light. When it’s BLACKPINK though, nothing’s going to stop you from going.

THE YG DANCERS EATING

Another day, another slay for the YG dancers who prove yet again that they are some of the best in the game. We would honestly pay to see a show by them.

THE FAN PROJECTS

Among the many fan projects BLINKS prepared for the two-day extravaganza, our favorite was the specific lights for each member. During the day two solo stages, Filo BLINKS changed the color of their lightsticks for each member. For Rose, it was white, Jennie got blue, Lisa was yellow, and Jisoo got red. FYI, not only did the colors looks so good, but they also represented the colors of the Philippine flag. Seeing the members’ faces light up to the single color oceans put a smile to our hearts.
