From chasing dreams to finally realizing it, the freshly minted Filipino pop squad, HORI7ON is now set to conquer the world stage. Almost a month after they clinched millions of votes in the finale of Dream Maker, the boy group survival reality show ABS-CBN, MLD Entertainment, and Kamp Korea, the lucky seven talents are poised to be the Philippines’ own global pop group.
But before this, Jeromy Batac, Marcus Cabais, Kyler Chua, Vinci Malizon, Reyster Yton, Kim Ng, and Winston Pineda will be first treating their budding Filipino fandom to their passionate performances here at home. And probably one of, if not the biggest stage that they’re able to grace post-Dream Maker is that of the longest-running musical variety show, ASAP Natin ‘To. And truly, what a debut it is for HORI7ON, who has given their Filipino fans the blazing performance that they deserve.
GOING HIGHER
On February 13, 2023, seven young Pinoy dreamers were given the chance and the task of reaching their ambitions of not just becoming the next P-pop group, but a global one at that. After months of missions, challenges, rankings, and voting, Jeromy, Marcus, Kyler, Vince, Reyster, Kim, and Winston triumphed from a competitive pool of over 60 hopefuls. And just days later, they were officially announced as the septet HORI7ON, a group name aptly chosen for the boys who started on the same place with the same goal in sight, making their dreams come true.
And starting their journey towards it, HORI7ON is currently having local performances to make their names and undeniable talent known to their fellow Pinoys. One of them was their ASAP Natin ‘To debut in its March 5, 2023 episode, where HORI7ON once again showcased their explosive skill set with a fiery performance of their original banger, DASH. As expected, the Dream Maker boys did not disappoint as they owned the stage in their matching red and black looks.
And if their ASAP performance is any indication, it looks like HORI7ON is now more than ready to take on bigger stages and larger crowds. Not only were the boys able to mark their very first performance on the show, they were also reunited with their former dream mentor Darren Espanto and Dream Maker host (and their big sister) Kim Chiu, who both wished the group the best. Plus, they also brushed elbows and had some cute moments with some of the industry greats including Regine Velasquez and Gary Valenciano.
Just like the lyrics to DASH, HORI7ON is set to fly higher as they are about to go train in South Korea and release their debut album in June and will be managed by MLD Entertainment, which also houses K-pop acts like Lapillus, TFN, and CocaNButter among others. But as MLD Entertainment CEO Lee Hyung-jin said in an earlier press conference, HORI7ON is going to say in the country until the end of March to do promotional activities. How about an exclusive concert of their own? We’ll surely be looking forward to that.
