We missed you queens!

It is said that the Philippines is 2NE1’s second home, and it showed during their sold-out two-day concert at MOA Arena.

Good things come to those who wait, just ask Blackjacks. From rumor to reality, 2NE1 finally made their long-awaited reunion this 2024 with a reunion tour. And how fitting that for their first stop outside South Korea, the group came to the Philippines for their first concert in the country in over a decade. Across two days, thousands of Filipino Blackjacks made their way to MOA Arena to see the beloved girl group do what they do best.

Lowkey we’re still not over the 2NE1 weekend, and considering that we might get a Day 3 and maybe even a new album down the line, we’re eating this reunion up. Whether you’re feeling FOMO or want to relive the epicness of it all, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite moments from 2NE1’s Manila reunion concerts.

PROUD PINOY BEHAVIOR

You can take the girl out of the Philippines, but you can never take the Philippines out of the girl. It was clear that Sandara was so happy to be back in her second home, and she was more than game to let out her inner Pinoy. Her in-ear monitors even featured designs of the South Korean and Philippine flags.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DARA!

For Sandara to be back in the Philippines with the rest of her 2NE1 members for a concert was a true dream come true moment that would make anyone emotional. Add to that Dara’s belated birthday celebration in her second home, yeah, even we would shed tears.

PERFORMING IN OR OUT

@nylonmanila Of course #2NE1 would perform ‘In Or Out’ at their Manila concert 🩷 #2NE1_WELCOMEBACKinManilaDay1 @Live Nation PH ♬ original sound – NYLON Manila

Of course 2NE1 would perform Sandara’s timeless bop In Or Out during their reunion concert, just as they did the last time they were in the Philippines. But unlike before, CL finally got to do the dance, teasing behavior from the other members included.

THE CROWD PASSING THE VIBE CHECK

Filipino Blackjacks have been waiting for this moment for a decade, so yes, they’ve been ready to let it all out alongside the group. Even before the concert started, they were already singing out loud if you want to know how prepared the crowd was. They sang, jumped, screamed, and lived their best life, as they should. The Philippines never beating the best concert crowd allegations.

WHO IS THIS DIVA

@alyssaphernelia Hahaha eto talaga highlight sa dance cam ng 2NE1 Day 2 😭 aliw talaga 😭🤣 #2ne1_welcomebackinmanila #2ne1 #2ne1PH #2ne1iamthebest #2ne1fourever #kpop #kpopfyp #manila #concerts #philippines #fyp ♬ original sound – Bread

Speaking of the crowd, Filipino Blackjacks knew what needed to be done during the audience dance segment. You can tell they’re real fans, and we love to see it.

WE LOVE YOU PARK BOM

Seeing Park Bom sing and dance on the stage brought a kind of happiness only true Blackjacks would understand. Those cheers for Park Bom? Deserve. And even when she was feeling too unwell to perform, her members, and the crowd, were more than ready to lend a hand.

DANCING TO PANTROPIKO

How appropriate that during a weekend that saw 2NE1 and BINI, two uber-popular girl groups, hold concerts on the same day in the country, we got this crossover when Minzy and Dara danced to Pantropiko. Here for the 2BINI1 crumbs.

THE FAN ‘FITS

As trendsetters in the fashion game, it’s expected that 2NE1 inspired their fans to step up when it comes to serving looks. Just look at this Filo Blackjack who recreated Dara’s iconic pineapple hair for the concert. We love the dedication.

POST-CONCERT CELEBRATION

2NE1 gave it their all over the weekend, so it only felt correct that the girls celebrated their success with a well-deserved feast at Gerry’s Grill, one of Sandara’s favorite restaurants in the country. We just know that sisig hit extra hard that night.
