The wait is finally over. The BTS Meal from McDonald’s is finally in the Philippines! It’s safe to say that this collaboration has a lot of hype behind it and a lot of people have been waiting for this to finally arrive. Aside from the fact that the meal is a collaboration with BTS, it is also the first time a McDonald’s Famous Meal is available in the country. You can currently by the meal without the need for a reservation. You can get it through McDelivery, drive-thru, take-out, and dine-in.
The BTS Meal comes with 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium fries, and a medium Coke. It will also come with Sweet Chili and Cajun sauces inspired by popular recipes from McDonald’s South Korea. To celebrate this momentous occasion, PH ARMYs all over the country and even McDonald’s Philippines themselves have gotten in on the festivities. We rounded up our favorite reactions from Pinoy ARMY about the launch of the BTS Meal in the country.

McDonald’s Philippines goes all out
To celebrate the launch of the BTS Meal, Mcdonald’s PH decided that they weren’t just going to send out a simple tweet. They understood the assignment and decided to decorate many of their restaurants with purple balloons, streamers, and other BTS themed decorations. They also played BTS songs in the restuarants and had signs that said things like “This is the maknae line” and “Dancers line up here”. It’s clear that PH ARMY loved the care and dedication they placed into it.

Biggest McDonalds in the Philippines is awash in purple
Out of all the McDonald’s branches that were decorated for the launch, the one that really got our attention was the branch in San Fernando, Pampanga. The McDonald’s branch there is not only the biggest in the country, but it is the biggest in Asia. The branch at Capital Town turned purple and had a lot of purple-colored decorations surrounding the branch.

Customizing and preserving the packaging
For ARMY, the BTS Meal isn’t just a meal to eat and enjoy. It also serves as a collector’s item and something for the fans. After all, this collaboration won’t last and already people have bought the BTS Meal packaging online for thousands of pesos. Because of this, a few creative Pinoy ARMY decided to customize the packaging and turn it into all sorts of items. A few framed the packaging, others turned it into a key chain, some made it into a journal spread, and someone even turned it into a ref magnet.
