Maymay Entrata marks her blazing comeback with the release of her newest single Puede Ba, which in all aspects is a total bop. A reinvention of Filipina singer Viktoria’s 1999 track, Puede Ba reminds us of the attitude and fire of AMAKABOGERA where we see Maymay in her base state: overflowing with charisma, enchanting allure, and incandescent energy.
The groovy dance song is composed by Viktoria, who is also featured in the song, and produced by Maymay’s frequent collaborator and Star Pop label head Rox Santos. With its music video being viewed 800 thousand times already, Puede Ba, which melds Latin pop and dancehall tunes, is just patiently waiting to be our next viral dance craze.
And the kabogera queen seems to be preparing us for that time as ABS-CBN Star Music releases a performance video for her newest dance floor anthem. As we expected, Maymay Entrata embodies the girl-on-fire spirit as she literally shines in a glittery red ensemble while eating up the stage, effortlessly bodying Jonathan Sison’s choreography.

Maymay, who has also earned four Awit Awards nominations for AMAKABOGERA, has also expressed her heartfelt thanks to all her fans who’ve been supporting her music. “Mahal kong dreamers, Maymay fanmily, sobrang maraming salamat sa suporta,” she shares on her Instagram story. “Sobrang na appreciate ko pong nakasama ko kayo kagabi,” Maymay continues, referring to her jam-packed Wish Bus performance.

The MPOWERED hitmaker has also done an online performance of Puede Ba in ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime. “May mga hesitation po talaga ako dati,” says Maymay about her journey to discovering her confident self after her performance on PIE Channel’s PIE Night Long. “Tapos noong na-realize ko nasa utak lang pala natin [‘yung hesitations], doon na nagsimula na may authority na ako sa sarili ko na hindi, hindi ako puwede magpakain sa takot.”
