It ain’t called a showcase of new beauty for nothing. And where Liza Soberano was concerned, she definitely served.
Liza Soberano, the living doll and last night’s Binibining Pilipinas judge, didn’t come to play. In collaboration with her stylist Perry Tabora, she wore a custom corset and skirt by Filipino designer Anthony Ramirez that reminded us of a super model look like Naomi or Yasmeen Ghauri in the 90s.
Her glam was on point, too. Her hair worn sleek by hairstylist Brent Sales and understated beauty by Robbie Piñera with nothing else but fine jewels by Janis Fine Jewelry made for the perfect counterpoint to the detailed look. Less is definitely more, especially when the face department is strong like a real super model.
Liza Soberano has portrayed beauty queen roles in the past, but has recently admitted that she has no plans of joining the competition as she feels she cannot give justice to Filipinos’ expectations. Whether she joins a contest or not, Liza has been vocal about current issues and women’s rights on social media and that’s what matters the most—using your platform.
