Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos’ latest passion project takes their love of food to the next level as they bring steak night to your home.
Aside from being talented actors, Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos are also known foodies. If you follow them on social media, you’d know that they constantly update their feed with their latest food finds in Manila or outside the country. Their date nights and food crawls are mouth-watering jaunts that got us wanting to try what they’re having. Gabbi and Khalil’s love for food even manifests itself with their joint YouTube account, Front-Seat Foodies, where the two try out a variety of dishes from around the Metro inside their car. Given all that, it was only a matter of time before GabLil started a food business venture. And that day has finally come with the recent launch of their very first food business, Meat Up.
STEAK NIGHT WITH GABLIL
On October 11, Gabbi and Khalil took their love of food one step further with the official launch of Meat Up with Gabbi and Khalil. According to the two, this is a passion project that has been in the works for a while. And while they may be food lovers, running a food business is not exactly something they are familiar with. So, they teamed up with CloudEats, whose celebrity clientele includes Pia Wurtzbach and Rhian Rhamos, to help launch the business.
As the name may suggest, Meat Up combines the two things Gabbi and Khalil love doing, going on date nights and eating steaks. Meat Up is hoping to deliver that quality date night experience at home without those eye-popping prices. To that end, the meals in Meat Up use quality and premium products while still being priced affordably, all under 500 pesos.
WHAT’S ON THE MENU
As of launch, there are eight entrees customers can choose from. Some highlights include the Roast Beef Steak with Rice ,which is a meaty cut of steak served with a creamy gravy sauce, rice, and vegetables. The Steak Salad is, well, a steak salad with a nice piece of Bolzico Beef topping a fresh bowl of greens and vegetables. Looking to pig out? Then the Japanese-inspired Steak with Chahan Rice is for you as it is steak served with Japanese corn, a poached egg, and chahan rice, otherwise known as Japanese fried rice.
If sandwiches are your thing, then the BBQ Roast Beef Sandwich should be your pick. A juicy cut of roast beef is served with caramelized onions and wasabi mayo in a warm brioche bun. The rest of the menu consists of side dishes and desserts to complete your steak night at home.
If you’d like to try out what Meat Up is cooking up, you can order from them exclusively through GrabFood. Note that they are open 24/7 so you can satisfy your steak cravings at any time of the day.
