Geo Ong is a popular YouTuber among Filipinos. In fact, he was crowned the top creator in the Philippines in 2022. Aside from a new baby and engagement to Viy Cortez, Cong TV can also celebrate the fact that he was the second most popular YouTuber in the Philippines this year. Zeinab Harake and Ivana Alawi come in close at the third and fourth spots while Vice Ganda completes the top five.

Vloggers Von Ordona, Doc Willie Ong, and Pugong Byahero occupy the next three spots. Meanwhile, Francine Diaz lands at the ninth spot which is an impressive achievement considering that she only returned to making YouTube videos consistently last year. And at number ten is the internet’s favorite rich tita, Small Laude. Overall, it was a mix of celebrity vloggers and content creators who’ve built a following over the years thanks to their unique content.

TRENDING VIDEOS

With so many viral and pop culture moments happening this 2022, it would be hard to predict which video made it to the top of the trending list. But surprisingly, the top trending video on YouTube Philippines was not based on a current event, but Kristories’ Aswang Sa Probinsya 2 animated horror story. The creepy tale mixed with the simple yet crisp animation proved to be a hit among Filipinos. Number two is Biana Umali’s prank on Buboy Villar by pretending to fight Ruru Madrid. Geo Ong’s BAON, Ivana Alawi’s Mommy Challenge with Vice Ganda, and JOKWARD by Cong TV round out the top five.

Kei Nine’s animation celebrating New Year’s in the Philippines sits at the sixth spot while Zeinab Harake’s 1st birthday vlog for Bia is at seventh. At eight is the only video from a news site which is that talked-about moment when a person hugged an ABS-CBN reporter in the middle of her reporting. Celebrity moments round out the top ten with Vice Ganda’s Las Vegas wedding to Ion Perez at the ninth and Viy Cortez’s vlog documenting the birth of Zeus at the tenth spots.

MUSIC VIDEOS

In a development that surprised no one, BLACKPINK’s Pink Venom music video was the top music video in the Philippines this 2022. Their long-awaited comeback was highly anticipated by many Filo BLINKS and the numbers back it up. Close behind them is their fellow 3rd gen idol Jungkook with Left and Right landing at number two. Ace Banzuelo had a breakthrough in 2022 and he can also claim the title of having the top Filipino music video of 2022 with Muli. At one point, you couldn’t go anywhere without hearing Anees Sun and Moon, so it’s no surprise it’s in the fourth spot.

OPM occupies the next three spots with Adie and Janine Berdin’s Mahika, Zack Tabudlo’s Asan Ka Na Ba, and FLOW G’s Praning. The only international OST on the list, What Else Can I Do from Encanto is at number eight. The most streamed Filipina on Spotify in 2022 lands at the ninth spot with Kumpas. And Wasted from J emm Dahon, KL, Kushin, Aeron J, and Guthrie rounded out the top then.
