If you’ve been scrolling on social media as of late, you may have noticed that many of your favorite online creators and personalities have been making their way to Cebu. For those who are wondering, no, these influencers aren’t heading to the Queen City of the South on a spontaneous group vacation. Instead, it’s for the 2022 edition of BaiCon InFest, the country’s first and biggest gathering of local digital content creators.
PHILIPPINE SOCIAL MEDIA ALL IN ONE PLACE
BaiCon InFest is one of the year’s hottest events for digital creators and fans alike. BaiCon brings together some of the country’s biggest and brightest digital stars under one roof to connect with fans and have fun. And this year’s edition is looking to give all that and more with an impressive line-up of diverse stars. Dozens of online personalities like Ranz Kyle, Niana and Natalia Guerrero, Pipay, Esnyr, Mikey Bustos, Ninong Ry, Inka Magnaye, Wil Dasovich, Justine Luzares, Arshie Larga, and Nana Silaryo are all slated for appearances and performances.
If you want to know just how many creators and influencers are expected to attend, BaiCon InFest 2022 is slated to begin at noon and end at midnight. That’s over half a day’s worth of activities. And speaking of, BaiCon has in-store dozens of events and fun activities for fans. The day begins with a series of meet and greets, as well as a K-pop Rave and Random Dance Play from the remix king himself, Kuya Magik. As the day continues, attendees will be treated to performances and fun skits such as the opening number featuring some of Cebu’s finest creators.
Performers set to take the stage include Ranz Kyle, Niana, and Natalia, and the Divine Divas: Viñas Deluxe, Precious Paula Nicole, and Brigiding. And to wrap things up, the event closes out with a music fest featuring performances from Denise Julia, The Sundown, 13C, and more.
A DAY FOR EMPOWERMENT
Aside from the fun memories to be made and spotlighting a diverse selection of creators from across the Philippines, BaiCon InFest will also empower attendees and guests on how they can better use the internet. The event has always had the mission of digital literacy and wanting netizens to know how to properly navigate the internet. It will be an “avenue where creators and fans will empower each other to use each other’s influence to combat fake news and to champion the responsible use of social media,” something we can all agree is badly needed at this time.
