Christmas came early for cheerdance fans as the UAAP recently held the Season 87 edition of their cheerdance competition. One of the most anticipated UAAP events every season, the cheerdance competition brings out both casual and hardcore fans to watch the eight teams and the routines they cooked up.
Every competition has its fair share of thrills, and this year, National University was the main character with the NU Pep Squad’s space-themed routine. Not only did they receive not one, but all the special awards, namely: Power Performance Award, Juicy-fied Pyramid, Best Aerial Performance, Lit Dance Move Award, Stylish Performance Award, Most Unique Dance Move Award, and Most Synchronized Dance Move, they also won the championship, making this NU’s eighth time winning the CDC championship and tieing them with UST and UP for most cheerdance wins in UAAP’s history.
But it wasn’t just the 19,000 fans at MOA Arena that got to talking, so too did netizens as they naturally filled social media with their funny and honestly relatable takes on the night’s events.
