From Wicked, Arcane season 2, NCT Dream’s newest album, and more, these movies, shows, and music got us through the month.

As the somewhat official start to the holiday season, November was a busy month in more ways than one. The holiday rush is real, bestie. But in between all the hustle and bustle, we found these movies, shows, and music that kept us company and helped us de-stress. Whether we were left in awe at the cinema, pressed replay multiple times to the point it went platinum in our house, or binge-watched at the end of a long day, these entertainment options shot to the top of our list. Check out our favorite media of November 2024.
ARCANE SEASON 2 – RAFAEL BAUTISTA, MANAGING EDITOR
Arcane Season 1 was perfect in every way. So while I was excited for season 2, a part of me also was worried it wouldn’t live up to the hype. I was happily proven wrong. The continuation of Vi and Jinx’s story was the epic sequel fans like me could have hoped for. It honestly gives me chills thinking how good this season was.
WICKED: PART 1 – BIANCA LAO, BRAND ASSOCIATE
As a theater kid, this movie completely took over my life—especially after waiting four long years since its announcement. It surpassed all my expectations in every way, from the phenomenal cast and captivating songs to the stunning sets and flawless execution. The only downside? We need to wait for a part two.
DANCING WITH THE STARS SEASON 33 – BIANCA LAO, BRAND ASSOCIATE
I honestly did not expect to have DWTS as one of my hyper fixations this year. I originally started watching this for Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold, and then eventually fell into the lore of the other pros and celebrities that have joined the show. It’s a fun watch and you gain a much deeper appreciation of dancers and their craft.
GRACIE ABRAMS’ THE SECRET OF US DELUXE – BIANCA LAO, BRAND ASSOCIATE
Calling all delusional girlies! This album is for you. I enjoyed this album a lot, particularly seeing how Gracie has grown as an artist especially in her writing and the vulnerability with her emotions. Personal favorites? Risk, That’s So True, I Told You Things, and the Vevo Version of I Love You, I’m Sorry.
THE OUTRUN – NICA GLORIOSO, FEATURES WRITER
I’ve been waiting for the movie adaptation of Amy Liptrot’s The Outrun for well over a year now since I learned about it as a Saoirse Ronan stan (I also read the memoir in preparation, and it was stunning), and the movie did not disappoint. It’s a recovery journey intertwined with an ode to the Scottish islands of Orkney. Both the book and the movie’s style or narrative may not be for everyone, but they’re beautifully moving and pretty cathartic (and Saoirse knocks it out of the park, natch).
NCT DREAM’S DREAMSCAPE – GELO QUIJENCIO, MULTIMEDIA ARTIST
NCT DREAM’s DREAMSCAPE stands out for its incredible versatility, seamlessly blending genres while maintaining the group’s signature youthful energy. The songs to me feel like exploring heartfelt themes of self-discovery, dreams, and connection, and that resonates with me. Also, the group’s chemistry shines through every track, creating a cohesive and immersive experience that leaves us, Czennies, wanting more.
WELCOME TO SAMDAL-RI – PRECY TAN, COPYWRITER
Welcome to Samdal-ri is the kind of K-drama that warms your heart and feels like a comforting hug—much like one of my all-time favorites, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha. It’s a feel-good series that beautifully highlights themes of family, friendships, and self-discovery into a binge-worthy package.
While Ji Chang-wook effortlessly charms as the main lead (seriously, who can resist?), the second leads deserve their own spotlight for being hilarious. The mix of heartfelt moments and lighthearted humor makes this show an absolute treat for anyone seeking a wholesome watch.
BEYOND BY LEON BRIDGES – BERNICE IGNACIO, MULTIMEDIA ARTIST INTERN
The end of November feels like smooth jazz and R&B beats with Leon Bridges as the backdrop of this month. I just discovered his music on shuffle and I cannot stop listening ever since. My favorite right now is his song Beyond from his 2018 album Good Thing.
