Burger King’s Plant-Based Whoppers  – Raf Bautista, Managing Editor

BK kinda cooked with this one. Even if the patty is 100% plant-based, it doesn’t compromise on the size and flame-grilled taste. And unlike some plant-based patties on the market, the plant-based Whopper doesn’t leave a heavy plant aftertaste.

Starbucks’ Elphaba Cold Brew  – Bianca Lao, Brand Associate

Following the iconic release of Wicked and as a loyal fan and coffee (and matcha) lover, I became obsessed with the Elphaba Cold Brew by Starbucks. It literally gives you the energy to defy gravity throughout the day, with a sweet twist from the matcha sweet cream cold foam.

Otaku Room – Precy Tan, Copywriter

I recently stumbled upon the Otaku Room, tucked away on the 2F of the Atmos Philippines flagship store in BGC, and it’s safe to say I’m obsessed. This IG-worthy spot effortlessly combines aesthetics and versatility—perfect for working, grabbing a drink, or even a brunch date.

It’s a charming café by day that transitions into a speakeasy from 3 PM onwards. Inspired by traditional Japanese coffee shops, the space is warm yet modern. Tip: when you visit, don’t miss out on the Yuzu Honey Soda—it’s as refreshing as the place itself!

Denny’s Moons Over My Whammy Sandwich  – Jasmin Dasigan, Production Associate

Denny’s

As a fan of sandwiches, this is one of the many options from Denny’s you shouldn’t miss. It has the right amount of cheese, egg, and ham enough to make you full for breakfast. The way they toast the bread with butter is sooo good too!

Heavenly Desserts’ Heavenly Moist Chocolate Cake – Gelo Quijencio, Multimedia Artist

Heavenly Desserts

The Heavenly Moist Chocolate Cake from Heavenly Desserts is the ultimate holiday treat for someone who loves strawberries. Its rich, chocolatey layers perfectly complement the fresh, juicy strawberries, creating a flavor combination that feels indulgent yet refreshing. The cake’s moist texture and fruity accents make it both comforting and festive, ideal for cozy holiday celebrations. Its stunning presentation also adds a touch of elegance to any gathering. For me, it’s the perfect dessert to enjoy and share, blending my love for strawberries with the joy of the season.

Strawberry Mania Café – Nica Glorioso, Features Writer

The Strawberry Mania café in Shinsaibashi, Osaka, is the cutest little café, FR. Everything was strawberry and strawberry-themed! They’ve got parfaits and crepes, pancakes and pastries, and drinks!

My favorite was the Strawberry Maple tea, and this is big coming from someone who doesn’t even like tea all that much. It didn’t taste too leafy, and it was perfectly sweet and just added to the ultra-cozy atmosphere.

Dr. Wine’s New Menu – Nicole Thomas, Contributing Writer

Dr. Wine’s new menu feels like a love letter to French cuisine, crafted with flair by Chef Romain from Toulouse. The Palourdes au Vin Blanc et Persillade instantly became a favorite—imagine clams bathed in a white wine, parsley, and butter broth that’s somehow both delicate and indulgent. But the real game-changer for me was the Camembert D’Isigny Roti. Trying French Camembert for the first time felt like a rite of passage, especially with Chef Romain’s tip to drizzle honey over it—it’s the kind of flavor combo you didn’t know you needed until it’s right there on your plate.

Nightcap Manila’s Peach Fresco & Chingu Cafe’s Peach Iced Tea – Aleksei Rivamonte, Editorial Intern

Nightcap Manila

Mine is one of Nightcap Manila’s signature cocktails, the Peach Fresco. This cocktail is perfect for people like me who prefer sweet alcoholic drinks. It has just the right amount of kick from the rum, and the beer syrup and peach combination is one of the most unique tastes I’ve had in an alcoholic drink.

chingu cafe

I’m an iced tea girly so the Chingu Cafe Peach Iced Tea was perfect for me, and the peach flavor wasn’t too strong or overwhelming—it was just right.
