Following the announcement of their participation in the upcoming Louis Vuitton runway show, BTS, as fuelled by the ARMY, sets Twitter ablaze with this milestone.
It has been said before but for any lost soul that needs reminding: the boys of BTS are unstoppable. Barely settled from the euphoria of their recents triumphs in Muster 2021 Sowoozoo, their 8th anniversary celebration, and of course, the unequalled success of their recent single, Butter, they continue to smash more successes than we could keep up with. (But that’s a good, nay, great thing, of course.) Without waiting for anyone to catch a breath, BTS sent all of Twitter, led by the valiant efforts of the ARMY, into a frenzy when they announced their participation in the upcoming Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2021 runway show in Seoul, Korea. Firing up many timelines with many #LVMenFW21 adjacent hashtags such as What The Hell, Runway Debut, and Where’s My Invitation.

“We are excited to be part of the upcoming #LouisVuitton show in Seoul!” tweeted BTS, which included a video of them all dripping in the fineries of the Virgil Abloh-directed menswear arm. With 10.6 million views, 797,200 retweets, 106,600 quote tweets, and 1.8 million likes as of this writing, there is no doubting the domination of super collective composed of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, period. This milestone trails their appointment as ambassadors of Louis Vuitton back in April, where it was teased that BTS will be part of special projects with the French house. Details have been scarce since, but the earliest realization of this partnership was their being decked out in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton on the Grammys red carpet. While they sure looked good in the selection of earth tones and reliable black, they meant business as well.
This wasn’t only an appropriate stepping up to the plate. It was a home run.
You Are Invited
“High expectations,” writes the official Twitter account of Louis Vuitton, quote tweeting the trending post of BTS fired up by the ARMY. Lowering the velvet ropes and drawing the curtains open from what was once typically reserved for the exclusive, the brand took to the beloved bird app to personally invite the fans to be part of the show, just like the boys.
With the username tagged, the message goes: “You are invited to watch the #LVMenFW21 show featuring BTS live from Seoul. Tune in on July 7th at 7pm (GMT+9) on Twitter or louisvuitton.com.” It might seem simple, but for the ARMY, it makes them feel infinitely special to be included in this moment with their biases and idols.
As is typical of pre-show hype, not much is known for this special participation. Will the boys of BTS walk the runway decked out in the latest from Louis Vuitton? Is there a special performance that will surprise the rest of the world? Are we going to be treated to a fashion film starring Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook? While the whispers have now become a full-blown internet scream of theories, the only thing left to do is patiently wait for their time to come and shine. Little is known, sure, but what we are certain of is that this will be epic.
It won’t be long now, ARMY.
The Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall/Winter 2021 show in Seoul by Virgil Abloh will go live on July 7:00 PM KST/JST (6:00 PM PHT/SGT). Leave those purple hearts as a reminder and for good measure, set your alarms before heading to Twitter or on their website.
