We’re only one full week into October and already, the month has given musical surprises left and right. Adele is set to make her grand comeback on October 15 with her new song, Easy On Me. GFRIEND’s SinB, Eunha, and Umji are set to re-debut as a three-member girl group. And the possibility of a 2NE1 reunion just got a bit more real. Of course, the past week was also filled with new song releases so here’s a roundup of the new releases you should take note of.

When I’m With You – BGYO

P-Pop boy group BGYO just reached a major milestone as they dropped their very first album, The Light. Named after their debut single, the album has 12-tracks; eight new songs, and their debut single in four different languages. The pop-EDM When I’m With You serves as the lead single.

Savage -aespa

Oh my gosh, don’t you know aespa is a savage? Aespa dropped their very first mini-album, Savage, as well as the comeback single of the same name. Considering how the group only has released three songs prior to Savage, the six-track EP is much welcome news for aespa fans.

Ba’t Ganito Ang Pag-ibig – Zack Tabudlo

In anticipation of his upcoming album, Episode, dropping on October 15, Zack Tabudlo dropped Ba’t Ganito Ang Pag-ibig.

Sawa Na – Adie

Following up on his hit song Paraluman, Adie just released his newest song Sawa Na. The track sees him profess his dismay of the pandemic’s aftermath to everyone’s social sanity. Sawa Na has a groovy beat with lyrics that hit close to home for those feeling lonely, especially in our current context. Intended to keep a person company, the song conveys that someone hears and feels you.

Red Eyes – Justin Bieber and TroyBoi

Justin Bieber just dropped the complete edition to his Justice album. The new version features three new songs, Red Eyes, Angels Speak, and Hailey. He also dropped the music video for Ghost,which stars Diane Keaton.

yoga – bbno$ and Rebecca Black

Rising star bbno$ just dropped his latest album, eat ya veggies. The 12-track album features brand new songs including his latest single, yoga, featuring one of the internet stars Rebecca Black. The disco-influenced track combines bbno$’s witty wordplay and Rebecca’s seductive vocals with bouncy synths and an addictive bassline for the perfect party anthem.

Reflection – Over October

Filipino alternative rock quartet Over October is out with new music this week with the release of their EP, Maybe Today, Maybe Tomorrow. Aside from featuring their first-ever Filipino song, the five-track EP is a collection that reflects their feelings, frustrations, and hopes during a tumultuous period in their respective lives.

Boyz – Jesy Nelson and Nicki Minaj

Following her split from Little Mix, Jesy Nelson is striking it out on her own as she released her debut solo single Boyz. Looking to make a splash with her first solo release, the pop-R&B track features Nicki Minaj.

Vibin – Youngjae

Youngjae becomes the latest member of GOT7 to release new music following their split from JYP. This week, he dropped the album, COLORS from Ars. Vibin, meanwhile, serves as the lead single. True to its name, it is an upbeat pop song with a groovy beat that will have you, well, vibin’.

MAMMAMIA – Maneskin

Italian rock band Maneskin has been having a phenomenal 2021 and the group is looking to continue their success with the release of their new song, MAMMAMIA. If you love their songs, then MAMMAMIA has everything you love in a Mnaeskin song.

Wings – Donny Pangilinan

Following his covers of Sigurado and He’s Into Her, Donny Pangilinan dropped his first original song in over a year with Wings. The love song features an R&B sound and showcases Donny’s sensual vocals.

Love Language – Catriona

Catriona Gray is looking to make her mark in the music scene with her latest song release. Love Language serves as her new single and the light R&B is a great showcase of Catriona’s luscious vocals.

Marilag – Press Hit Play

Rookie P-Pop boy group Press Hit Play is out with a new song, Marilag. The track is a collaboration between members CHRLS and ZI.O as the former delivers smooth vocals while the latter spits fire bars.

TOTGA – Timmy Albert

After a year of no new music, Timmy Albert is back with the release of his new song TOTGA. The pop song has a distinct use of synth in the background as Timmy sings about the girl that got away.

Ngayon Lang ‘To – raven

21-year-old rising OPM artist raven dropped a new song with Ngayon Lang ‘To. Going back to his lo-fi, hip-hop/rap sound, raven exudes chill vibes all while confessing his crush on someone.

Island Baby (Maarte) – PARADISE RISING and MANILA GREY

Paradise Rising, the new label from 88rising that champions Filipino music, released their second EP called semilucent 2. The 5-track EP features global artists with Pinoy backgrounds like MANILA GREY, Curtismith, and more.

My Heart It Beats For You – grentperez

Hot on the heels of topping viral charts across Southeast Asia with his debut single Cherry Wine, Filipino-Australian artist grentperez dropped his new single, My Heart It Beats For You. His new song, which features a verse in Tagalog, was a collaboration with his fans as he created it live on Twitch and used his fans’ contributions to make the second verse.

22 Break – Oh Wonder

Oh Wonder surprised fans when they unexpectedly dropping their newest album, 22 Break. The album is personal and special for the band, and couple, as it charts their near separation, but ultimately reunification by the pandemic. It’s a personal, powerfully honest account of those universal breakup themes of loneliness, inadequacy, resentment, and fears for the future.
