It’s been a busy few days for SM Entertainment. First, they announced that Red Velvet will be finally having their much-anticipated comeback with the release of their sixth mini-studio album, Queendom, on August 16. WayV’s Ten will also be releasing solo music very soon (see: Paint Me Naked on August 10). But more things are still happening at SM Entertainment and this time, it involves you—yes, you.

SM TALENT SHOW VOL. 2

On July 29, SM Entertainment announced that they were launching an online global audition called 2021 SM Talent Show Vol. 2. And don’t worry, you don’t need to know how to speak Korean. SM’s online talent show auditions will be for English-speaking aspiring K-Pop hopefuls. The submissions will be limited to only males born between 1997 to 2009, so between the ages of 11 to 24. If you’re interested in auditioning, you first need to fill out a Google form with all the required information. You must also attach two videos; an introduction video and a video that shows off your singing, dancing, acting, and/or speech skills. Each video must be at least one minute long. Full details can be found on the auditions website here.

If you pass the first round, applicants will then have one-on-one video auditions with representatives from SM Entertainment. Winners of the audition will be notified individually through September and win AirPod Pros as a prize. Successful applicants may also be given a contract to sign with SM Entertainment. So, if you ever wanted to be part of one of the biggest K-Pop companies in the world and be label mates with NCT, Aespa, Red Velvet, EXO, and more, here’s your chance. But act fast because they are accepting applications only until August 15, Sunday.

Participants will fly out to Seoul for a K-Pop Bootcamp where they will compete in dance, vocal, and style tests. They will be judged and mentored by SM founder Lee Soo-man and NCT members.
