MORE – J-HOPE

BTS’ J-Hope is set to release his new album this July 15. And If his pre-release single, More, is anything to go buy, he’s going to give you music unlike anything we’ve seen from them yet. More combines old school hip-hop with a rock chorus as J-Hope shows a new side of himself and reflects on his artistic values and realizes that he still wants to do more in life. The creativity on display is something else as Hobi gives us a tale of fighting against a dystopian society in order to be free to do what you want.

HOT SHIT – CARDI B, KANYE WEST, AND LIL DURK

As we patiently wait for Cardi B to drop that soon to be mythized second album, she came for blood with the release of her new song, Hot Shit. A collab with Lil Durk and Kanye West, the song is straight hip-hop as Cardi goes hard on her verse and chorus. They bodied this to say the least.

IMYSM – MARK TUAN

Being away from the person you love is never easy and GOT7’s Mark Tuan puts that feeling into song form in his new single imysm. While you can imagine the touching track as relating to a special someone, it’s not hard to see it too as a love letter to his fans.

NEW MONEY – CALVIN HARRIS AND 21 SAVAGE

Calvin Harris recently dropped the tracklist for the Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2 album and it’s filled with a who’s who of collaborators. But before we get to enjoy the album in full on August 5, we have the latest single New Money featuring 21 Savage to enjoy. The funky beat will get you bouncing as 21 Savage lays down some smooth bars.

KIDS ARE BORN STARS – LAUV

Lauv turns back the clock in his new song Kids Are Born Stars. The fun pop song sees the musician look back on a crush he had in his childhood as he desperately tries to get his crush to like him back. And how does he do this? By telling her he’s going to be a star. Clearly Lauv got the last laugh.

I DON’T LIKE MYSELF – IMAGINE DRAGONS

Imagine Dragons has been one of those groups who always gives it ever since their first song. And that continues with the release of their latest studio album, Mercury Act 2. If Act 1 was all about dealing with the lose of the loved one, Act 2 is the aftermath, how we live and rebuild our lives following the loss. It’s a personal, compelling, and heartfelt listen, all 102 minutes of it.

CLOSER – BELLE MARIANO

For Belle Mariano’s second single of 2022, the Gen Z star gives us a fun and sweet mid-tempo love song about wanting to be closer to that special someone. While the song technically is for DonBelle’s partnership with Closeup, the track is a serve and so too is it’s heartfelt music video.

KUNWARI – JUAN KARLOS

Whether or not this song is about a certain event in juan karlos’ life, we’ll never know. But the track definitely takes inspiration from a place of emotions as the simple acoustic driven track sees the singer implore someone to pretend to love him because he thought that the person did. Short but bittersweet and hits in all the right spots

HOT IN IT – TIESTO AND CHARLI XCX

Sometimes we want to listen to songs that move us and whose lyrics dig deep into us. But others, we just want to dance and Tiesto and Charli XCX are here for just that with their collab Hot In It. The track is a straight up club banger that would be fit for any party that’s ready to get down.

VICIOUS – SABRINA CARPENTER

Sabrina Carpenter is finally set to drop her long awaited new album, emails i can’t send, on July 15. And as a special treat, she also dropped a new song on us called Vicious. While the track starts of relatively slow, it builds up when the band kicks in as Sabrina chides a certain someone for being too heartless towards her.

CATCH ME IN THE AIR – RINA SAWAYAMA

Rina Sawayama gets sentimental on her new track, Catch Me In The Air. The second single of her Hold The Girls album, the song goes for a pop-rock sound and even feels sentimental as times as Rina sings about her life and how far she’s made it. It’s a meaningful track, and one that hits closer to home for those close to their moms.

HEART BURN – SUNMI

Summer concept and K-pop rarely fail and that much is true with SUNMI’s new comeback single Heart Burn. While the track is a fun summer bop, it also features a slightly more mature tone and theme as SUNMI, who is sporting song impressive long copper locks, sings about how the passion in her heart is burning like the song. Don’t forget to also check out her other song from the single album, Childhood.

DIONELA – LANGIT

Dionela brings the vibes with his new song Langit. The OPM musician takes us on an R&B trip over the clouds with his smooth voice serenading the listener.

KING OF THE NIGHT! – ENA MORI

Ena Mori continues her reign as one of the most exciting synth-pop acts in OPM to watch out for with the release of her new song KING OF THE NIGHT! The track, which is her take on hyper pop, is taken from her debut LP which drops later this month and sees Ena sing about self confidence and only needing yourself during those nights in life.

NISSAN – MIDNASTY

Visayas based Hip-Hop group Midnasty are out with a new song called Nissan and they bring the vibes, beats, and bars that felt like it was ripped straight from the islands.

MASCARA – XG

If you haven’t been paying attention to XG, then you’re missing out on one of the most exciting new groups in K-pop today. They market themselves as a global girl group with members from all over Asia and their new single MASCARA is an empowering bop and a half. It’s an addicting song that tells its listener to not waste your mascara on crying over boys.

GIRL GANG – R RULES

P-pop girl group R Rules is here to let you know that the group is one not to be messed with in their comeback single Girl Gang. The Japanese meets Pinoy group mixes elements of pop and hip-hop for a song all about realizing your inner baddie.
