The past week saw both new and established artists drop new songs that have been on repeat since the weekend. Here are some of the new song releases of the past week.
Hindi Ko Kaya – Zack Tabudlo
Fresh of the success of Binibini, Zack Tabudlo is back with new music with the release of his new song Hindi Ko Kaya. In the song, Zack sings about being cheated on, but can’t let go of the girl he loves.
Seeing Green – Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Lil Wayne
Nicki Minaj surprised fans with new music when she dropped her 3rd mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty on streaming sites with new songs. One of those new songs is Seeing Green with Drake and Lil Wayne and let’s just say, we miss hearing Nicki spit fire.
good 4 u – Olivia Rodrigo
While we wait in anticipation for her debut studio album to drop later this month, Olivia Rodrigo just released her latest single good 4 u. Musically, the song shows a different side of Olivia with its more rock-pop sound that is reminiscent of Paramore. In the song, she sings about not being so happy that her ex moved on from her quickly.
Magpahinga – Ben&Ben
Magpahinga is a piano-driven track that is one of their more emotional songs. In their new song, the group let their emotions out as they sing about being tired but willing to fight again.
Hot Sauce – NCT Dream
NCTzens were blessed this week with the release of new music from NCT Dream. Hot Sauce both serves as the name of NCT Dream’s first full-length album and the lead comeback single. This is also their first comeback since Mark rejoined the group. Hot Sauce has a tropical and Jamaican vibe to it that you can help but shake your body to.
Happy For You – Lukas Graham
It seems that songs about being “happy” that their exes have moved on are a theme for this week because Lukas Graham’s new song, Happy For You, is about that. It seems though that in the song, Lukas seems genuinely ok that his ex has moved on.
Electric – Katy Perry
Katy Perry’s new song, Electric was made in collaboration with the Pokémon Company to celebrate Pokémon’s 25th anniversary. The song is an empowering pop anthem about finding your inner spark. While in the music video, Katy and Pikachu help a young singer find her inner star.
Believers – Alan Walker and Conor Maynard
Alan Walker and Conor Maynard team up for their new song Believers. This upbeat and groovy song a great use of the saxophone near the end of the song.
