At GMA’s Sparkle Spell event last October 22, Kapuso stars showed up and showed out in epic costumes and outfits perfect for a night of fright, mystery, intrigue, and of course, pop culture. From Genshin Impact outfits to witty costumes like Sassa Gurl’s funeral flowers and Pipay’s Sangguniang Kabataan Kagawad get-up, extravagant Mulawin characters to Katniss Everdeen, the night had no shortage of well-thought out and well-executed costumes. The sweet couple donned another sweet couple’s outfits for the night: Fred and Daphne from Scooby Doo! Rayver and Julie Ann looked lovely as ever, and Julie Ann even put a neon pink twist on Daphne’s outfit with her very tall boots.

Can someone say slay (the Jabberwocky)? YsaGuel put a punk twist on a Tim Burton classic as they dressed up as Alice and the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. The two look to be ready to fall down a rabbit hole—in fantastic style!

We’re calling it—young actors Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay have now set the bar for Barbie movie costumes. They didn’t just dress up as Barbie and Ken, no—they dressed up as zombiefied Barbie and Ken. In boxes, too! Their costumes were so epic, they deservingly won the TikTok Crowd Favorite award at Sparkle Spell.

Voltes V: Legacy stars Matt Lozano and Raphael Landicho gave off brotherly energy once again as Tweedledee and Tweedledum from Alice in Wonderland! The bald caps are truly some dedication. They also matched their other Voltes V castmates Radson Flores, Miguel Tanfelix and Ysabel Ortega, rounding out the Alice squad.

Content creators-turned-actors and twins Kiel and Vito Gueco pulled out a Twilight reference from the hat as they dressed as members of the Volturi, a powerful coven of vampires from the franchise. The two stayed amusingly in character the whole time at the carpet, channeling the intimidating aura of the clan.
