With BTS set to celebrate their 8th anniversary, June promises to be an eventful month for both BTS and ARMY.
We are already halfway through the year and BTS continues to dominate. Their latest comeback single, Butter, has broken a grocery list of records like the music video becoming the fastest YouTube video ever to reach 10 million views, achieving that in just 13 minutes. It also had the biggest music video premiere on YouTube, reaching a peak of 3.9 million concurrent viewers. It then went on to break BTS’s own record and set a new all-time 24-hour record of 108.2 million views. Butter also received the most single-day streams of any song ever on Spotify, with 20.9 million global streams on the first day.
But BTS is not yet done. The group just announced a slew of events to celebrate their 8th debut anniversary on June 13. There are also other BTS-related events that fans, both here and abroad, should be excited about. Here is a rundown of everything BTS-related fans should be looking forward to for the month of June.

Big Hit just announced this year’s activities and events for FESTA 2021. For those new to the fandom or who aren’t in the know, the FESTA is an annual two-week celebration of the debut of BTS. In the two weeks leading up to the debut anniversary, there will be a whole host of videos, events, and activities BTS has prepared for their fans. The best part is that all of it’s for free so any ARMY can join in on the festivities.
Fun fact: if you look at the poster with the calendar of activities, you can see that the main figure resembles a 7 and 8; 7 for 7 members of BTS and 8 for 8th anniversary or how ARMY are the 8th member.
The Events
FESTA 2021 kicks of on June 2 with Opening Ceremony. We could get anything on this day, like a new song or video. On June 3 is the 2021 BTS Profile, which are new or updated profiles of the members to show how they have grown in the past year. On June 4, we are getting not one, but three new choreography videos. These dance practice videos can be any song or performance BTS has done, it’s not limited to their title tracks. June 5 is Mission! BTS 4 Cuts. We think that this is something similar to RUN BTS where they release a video of the boys doing some sort of challenge. June 7 is Bicycle, which is new for this year’s FESTA. Our bet is that Bicycle is a new song from them, which in this case, will be uploaded on their SoundCloud page.
June 8 is BTS Photo Collection 202, which is a collection of BTS photos from the past year. On June 9 is the 2021 ARMY Profile. June 10 is the 2021 Festa Examination, another new event. We’re thinking that this may be a fun exam or test that BTS took or want ARMY to take. June 11 is BTS Room Live which most likely will happen on Vlive. June 12 is BTS Stage Clip, Let Us Shine Again. This is another new event, but we feel that this might be a video related to their song Mikrokosmos since the song is this year’s theme for the Muster and the song includes the lyrics “let us light the night” and “shine, dream, smile.” Finally, on June 13 is ARMY store, which is a new event. All these events then lead to the 2021 Muster.

A muster means a gathering of troops. In the case of BTS, it is a concert and a fan meeting. The group has had five musters in the past, and this will be their 6th with last year’s muster getting canceled due to the pandemic. This year’s muster is called BTS 2021 Muster Sowoozoo. Sowoozoo is Korean for Mikrokosmos. The event will be held on two days, June 13 and 14. The June 14 event is also being called the World Tour version because BTS will perform their Korean, English, and Japanese songs on that day while the June 13 event will only feature their Korean songs. BTS won’t just perform their songs however since the muster is considered a fan event. So, expect some fun videos, skits, games, and other fun things BTS has planned for the event. Both events will be at 6:30 PM KST or 5:30 PM PHT.
How To Watch
If you want to watch the event, you have to buy a ticket from their Weverse shop. The kind of ticket you can buy will be split into two tiers: General Ticket and Membership Only Ticket. A Membership Only Ticket can only be bought if you have an ARMY Membership, which is available on their Weverse shop. A General Ticket, meanwhile, can be bought by anyone. A General Ticket will only get you an HD Single view while a Membership Only ticket can get you a 4K single view and HD Multi-view though that’s only available in limited quantity. A ticket for either day regardless of your tier will cost 49,500 won, which is around $44. A two-day pass will cost 90,000 won or around $80. If you want to purchase a 4K Single-view and HD Multi-view pass for either day, it will cost you 59,500 won or around $53.
Ticket sales are currently live on their Weverse shop up until June 13, 6:29 pm PHT for the June 13 and two-day pass ticket and June 14, 6:29 pm PHT for the June 14 ticket. You can only buy one ticket type per day. If you miss the event or want to re-watch it, there are replays on June 18, 19, and 20, but after that, that’s it. Once you have your ticket, go to this website as this is where the event will be streamed and where you can also validate your ticket. Up to two devices can be logged in at the same time with same account so you can have your friend or family member who is not with you watch the muster as well.
Pop-up Store
With the 8th anniversary, 2021 Festa and Muster fast approaching, ARMY has a lot of events to look forward to. But for Pinoy ARMY, they have even more events to be excited for to make June even better. For starters, the BTS POP-UP: MAP OF THE SOUL store in Manila just opened its doors last May 29 at SM Megamall. The 190-sqm pop-up store showcases over 400 products ranging from apparel to stationery and household items. With MAP OF THE SOUL:7 as its central theme, the official products feature songs from the album such as Black Swan and ON. Price range anywhere from P200-P800+ for the small accessories, P700- P1000+ for TinyTan merch, P2000+ for t-shirts, bags, and totes, and P4600+ for hoodies and sweatshirts. New products are also scheduled to be released every two weeks.
From what we’ve seen though, so far, there were no Mikrokosmos lollipops, no photocards, and no ARMY Bombs. Remember to register on the MorningKall website in advance to secure a schedule. Every Wednesday, the website will open slots at the pop-up store. There are only a total of 30 tickets available per timeslot, starting at 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Each day will have a total of 13 timeslots with 30 tickets available for reservation. If you aren’t able to secure a ticket, there will be a separate queue for those who don’t get a slot. But it’s highly recommended to schedule a slot so that you don’t have to wait too long since those with a scheduled slot will be prioritized. The pop-up store will be open until August 29, 2021.
BTSxMcDonalds
There is also the recently launched BTS McDonalds meal and they are putting out all the stops to make this collaboration memorable. Aside from the actual meal, which is 10 chicken nuggets, medium fries, a medium Coke, and sweet chili and cajun dipping sauces inspired by recipes from McDonald’s South Korea, they also released a commercial and a merch line on Weverse.

The BTSxMcDonald’s merch line has a variety of items from hoodies, purple bathrobes, socks, sandals, and even a bag with a McDonald’s fry box logo and seven fries for each BTS member. BTS partnership with McDonald’s, which resulted in McDonald’s experiencing record-breaking engagement on their social media accounts, is the 3rd collaboration in McDonald’s Famous Order series and the first to be sold outside the US in over 50 markets.

While Pinoy ARMYs will have to wait until June 18 for the meal to be available in the country (which you can buy in-stores via Dine-In, Take-Out, Drive-Thru, and via McDelivery), we have the merch collection and reactions of ARMYs who already got the meal to keep us company as seen below.
