During a special gala dinner held in Penang, Malaysia last October 20, Archie Carrasco added yet another laurel to his achievements in business when he received the accolade from the prestigious Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA), which honors his outstanding innovation and contribution in the field of media. Just last June, he was given distinct recognition as one of the 15 Rising Tigers and Nation Builders under the Men and Women Who Matter List 2022 at the Asian Leadership Awards.
As the premier entrepreneurial award recognition in Asia, the APEA has been empowering entrepreneurs from all over the region since 2007, grounded on their mission of institutionalizing sustainability, fostering innovation, and accelerating growth. This year, APEA puts the spotlight on the incredible efforts of entrepreneurs in various industries in navigating business challenges in the era of COVID-19.
Among them is Archie Carrasco, who has fostered one of the most influential media conglomerates from the ground up during the pandemic. He has diversified AGC PHC from what was once a lone homegrown publishing company, One MEGA Group Inc. (OMGI), to an ecosystem that now includes subsidiaries like Digistar PH, which offers 360-degree marketing solutions, a full-scale production house 7640, and Mega Global Licensing Inc., which is the home of international brands like Vogue Philippines and NYLON Manila.
