One thing we’re always down for as a team is satisfying our food cravings—often, at the expense of an empty wallet. Every month, we list our favorite food, snacks, beverages, cafés, and restaurants so we can share their goodness with everyone else (we’re not gatekeepers here!). From sweet drinks to Japanese restaurants, matcha powder to mall snacks, we’ve got a lineup of that’ll leave you no choice but to to get up and get yourself a little treat.

Starbucks’ Brown Sugar Iced Shaken Espresso – Maggie Batacan, Editor-in-Chief

I now understand the hype behind sweet treats. I’m more of a tea girlie myself, however, my current occupation necessitates the consumption of caffeine every so often. I actually discovered this drink on TikTok and they recommended the following changes: sub oat milk, add vanilla sweet cream cold foam, and then a drizzle of caramel. Then ending result is AMAZING. It makes the drink super pricy, though, so just keep that in mind if you decide to try it.

Tah-Mee Froyo – Raf Bautista, Managing Editor

I’ve been seeing a Tah-Mee stall near my office for a while now and out of curiosity, I tried it out and I wasn’t disappointed. The froyo to toppings ratio is great and it tastes just as good as my go-to froyo places. I’ll be adding this to my froyo favorites list.

Auntie Anne’s Cinnamon Sugar Cream Cheese Sticks – Bianca Lao, Brand Associate

Auntie Anne’s Cinnamon Sugar Cream Cheese Sticks. Ever since I was a college student, I considered this a comfort food, and when I recently tried it again, I felt all of those memories come back. It’s the perfect sweet and affordable treat.

FAT SEED’S MORNING AFTER DRINK – Nica Glorioso, Features Writer

The Fat Seed Cafe + Roastery’s Morning After Hangover Cure is basically banana bread as a drink. My friend ordered it when we went (neither of us were hungover), and I tried it out—I instantly fell in love. It’s a bit pricey for a drink, but it’s so so good.

Dear Darling – Precy Tan, Copywriter

This month, I tried Dear Darling, a brunch place in Katipunan. Initially, I was drawn to its Instagram-worthy vibe. However, what I loved even more is that it’s the next go-to spot for brunch and chill cocktails after dinner. As someone who enjoys working at restaurants, I found it ideal—it has plenty of sockets and a welcoming atmosphere for getting work done.

Tsujiri – Jasmin Dasigan, Editorial Assistant

Tsujiri is the best place if you are craving for anything matcha! From matcha drinks, desserts or pastries, they got it covered. this place is one of my favorites if I’m around Greenbelt ♥️ Make sure not to miss the classic matcha soft serve!

Aorashi Ceremonial Matcha Powder – Kyla Amadora, Art Intern

If you’re a matcha lover, but also want to refrain yourself from constantly buying from overpriced cafes, you can try and learn how to make one! Looking for the best matcha powder is hard since there are already a lot in the market. But this Aorashi Ceremonial Matcha Powder is one of the best that I’ve tried! A bit on the pricier side but it’s definitely worth it in the long run!

Habanero Kitchen Bar – Abby Chua, Art Intern

Habanero Kitchen Bar has really good staple dishes, and even better experimental dishes which surprised me when I ate there for the first time. The spam fries are a must-try as well from the appetizers!

Saucy and Dim Dim Sum – Christine Roska, Marketing Intern

Saucy in Cabuyao, Laguna, is my comfort food in college! We always eat here with my blockmates after a really stressful exam as a little treat. It’s budget-friendly and there are many sauce combinations you can choose from. I personally like O6 + BGC (IYKYK).

Dim Dim Sum in Mong Kok, Hong Kong has probably the most bussin’ dim sum I’ve ever had. I still think about the crispy rice flour rolls with shrimp, and I would sell my firstborn just to get a taste of it again.

Illo – Zean Perello, Video Intern

Illo is a Japanese restaurant, and it offers a new experience for me. Whether you’re on a tight budget or want to feast, Illo is a must-try, offering a range of menu prices and delicious dishes. For me, their Omu Rice is a great deal, and with two orders topped off with tuna sashimi, you’re set for the day.
