Maymay is no stranger to being on billboards around the world. But her name and face in bright lights at one of the most visited spots in the world is a special moment. As part of Spotify’s EQUAL campaign to promote female artists, Maymay was recently included in their billboard in Times Square, New York City, joining a roster of other Filipino stars like Nadine Lustre, Belle Mariano, Sarah Geronimo, and more. Not many can say that they were on a billboard in Times Square, so that’s a flex right there.
WALKING THE FURNE AMATO RUNWAY
Aside from her talents in acting and performing, Maymay is also a queen on the runway with a fierce catwalk. Her statuesque persona has graced many runways, including in the Middle East where she had the honor of walking the Arab Fashion Week as part of Dubai-based designer Furne Amato’s show. Models are lucky that Maymay isn’t a full-time model with the way she can make headlines with just her walk.

While Maymay has always been dropping bops, her turn as a P-pop girlie in 2021 needs to be studied. From empowering bangers to more lighthearted feels like with her recent single, Tsada Mahigugma, her music shouldn’t be slept on. HER MTV EMA NOMINATION
Even MTV had to stan. When they announced the 2022 MTV EMA nominations, Maymay was recognized by the awards show with a nomination for the Best Asia Act category. Not only was she the only Filipino nominated that year for the EMAs, but she also joined previous Filipino nominees like Ben&Ben, SB19, and Sarah Geronimo. And Maymay’s fellow nominees were nothing to sneeze at as she was nominated alongside superstars like TOMORROW X TOGETHER and NIKI. And while Maymay didn’t win the award, the fact that she was included among these A-list musicians speaks to her caliber as an artist.
