MPL Philippines is looking for ten players to fill it’s first-ever Hall of Fame and their asking you, the fans, to vote.

While some may still dismiss playing esports as not a real profession, despite its rising success, there’s no denying that the sport has grown into the juggernaut that it is now. And that is no truer than in the Philippines. In just a couple of years, esports and its players that were once seen as a joke has now become a fast-growing field that has attracted hundreds of pro gamers and millions of followers. While the local esports scene may be relatively young, it has since seen many of its players become stars in their own right.
When it comes to the local esports scene, one major player is Mobile Legends Bang Bang with the Philippines Professional League and its seasons often being must-watch events. Over the years, the league has seen many players make a name for themselves in the game. And MPL Philippines wants to recognize that, and they need your help.
HERE COME THE LEGENDS
On September 5, as part of their 10th season celebration, MPL Philippines announced that they were establishing their very own Hall of Fame with the launch of the Hall of Legends. This Hall of Legends is set to house 10 Legends, also known at the 10 most legendary players of all time in the history of MPL Philippines. And the best part is that you get to decide who is included in the Hall of Legends. Here’s how you can nominate players.
Any active or retired MPL-PH pro players from season 1-10 are eligible to be included in hall of fame, even those who are currently playing in the current season. You can vote for your chosen pick/s either through Facebook or TikTok. If you vote on Facebook, make sure your profile is public and you share your vote as a public status. Make sure to tag MPL-PH Facebook page and include #MPL10LEGENDS, #LAKASNA10TO, and #MPLPhilippines. Failure to do so will not make your vote count. You’re free to use/include video, art, and images when you post your vote on FB. If you vote on TikTok, the same criteria applies, make sure your profile is public, the MPL-PH TikTok account is tagged, and all the necessary hashtags are included.
WHAT DETERMINES A LEGEND
Technically, you can vote for anyone you want. But MPL Philippines did release a set of criteria to help you vote wisely. First, is strength, which is the player’s gaming performance and skill. Contribution measures how much the players shared or contributed to the MPL or MLBB esports scene and culture. Legacy is the last criteria and this is for the overall impact the player had throughout their MPL career.
Voting is currently ongoing and lasts until October 7. The ten players who received the most votes will be inducted in the Hall of Legends during the MPL Philippines Playoffs later in the year. Happy voting.
