With Christmas right around the corner, local networks are peppering their programming lineups with shows and movies fit for the season. And when it came to ABS-CBN, the country’s largest content provider, they made sure to go above and beyond with their 2022 Christmas Special. Because one day isn’t enough, the two-day special saw a hoard of the brightest Kapamilya stars come together to entertain audiences with a succession of song and dance numbers to herald the yuletide season. The Christmas special wasn’t just two nights of singing, dancing, and fun. It also teased what the network has in store for 2022. BGYO and BINI both have had a great 2022. So, it felt fitting that for one of their final public appearances of 2022, they performed their collab song Up during the special. With BGYO in blue and BINI in red, it made for a stage with a distinct holiday vibe.
KAPAMILYA LOVE TEAMS WITH JOSE MARI CHAN
ASB-CBN’s love teams joining Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, and Jose Mari Chan for a rendition of Christmas In Our Hearts is the definition of a Christmas miracle.

Christmas is usually associated with cold weather. But stars like Andrea Brillantes, AC Bonifacio, Darren Espanto, BINI, and BGYO very much heated the stage with this fire dance number.
ANDREA BRILLANTES PERFORMING WITH DRAG QUEENS
It’s not even 2023 yet Blythe is already channeling her role in Drag You & Me. She looked pretty in pink as she danced her way through Sarah Geronimo’s Dati–Dati all while being joined by four drag queens. We’re vey much here for this proper mainstream exposure of Filipino drag queens.
VICE GANDA AND IVANA ALAWI’S BARDAGULAN LIP SYNC
The way Vice and Ivana both wore pink and tried to one up each other with their bags of rice, now that’s entertainment. While Ivana getting lifted by the backup dancers was impressive, Vice gagged us when he was lifted into the air by harnesses and brought out a picture of Ryzza Mae Dizon during the “rise up” portion of the song.

Mela and Stela Francisco had a viral moment earlier this year with the chicken nuggets meme, and now here they are performing on stage during the Christmas special with their mother. They really are carbon copies of Melai.
KATHRYN BERNARDO HAVING FIVE LOOKS
When you’re a superstar like Kathryn Bernardo, having just one look isn’t enough. So, Kath came prepared with not two, not three, but five different outfit changes. And as expected, she stunned in every one, from her golden Mark Bumgarner gown to her sultry LBD from Steph Tan.
MOIRA DELA TORRE SINGING HER HITS
The Christmas angels were all together when Moira Dela Torre was joined by artists like Anji Salvacion, Jeremy Glinoga, Angela Ken, and more to sing the OPM star’s hits such as Kumpas and Babalik Sa’yo. Their voices were as angelic as their white outfits.
