Felip Dyes His Hair Pink Mid-Shoot For His First Solo Headline

line
Who else suddenly feels like dyeing their hair pink spontaneously?

No superiority complex in sight, just Felip in his element.

With his experimental sound and style, Ken Suson of SB19 is no longer a stranger to the spotlight. His red head era was cool, but it wasn’t until he shaved it all off into a buzzcut and dyed it in the wildest hues where he was ultimately reborn as Felip’s final form. Drastic to some, but it probably felt like an average day to him. Just take a look at icons like OG basketball player Dennis Rodman (he wore a bridal gown to his book-signing which angered sensitive men), K-Pop hall-of-famer G-Dragon (one of its biggest game-changers in fashion and music), and David Bowie (who pushed boundaries with his rockstar alter-ego). It’s a pleasure to see Felip treading the same path in the P-pop world.

For his first solo magazine shoot, Felip embodied rockstars turned fashion icons from different eras. From a feathered suit to suddenly dyeing his hair pink mid-shoot, check out some of the coolest outfits that Felip wore for his NYLON Manila Headline shoot.

CROOKED, ONE OF A KIND

The gold standard. Felip’s gold suit and leopard top by Chris Diaz was reminiscent of one of the Greaser-like outfits in G-Dragon’s music videos, Crooked. In one of the scenes, we see GD with his devil-may-care attitude spraying his whole head. Only Felip can pull off a similar move.

IT’S ZIGGY STARDUST

The man who fell to the earth. No rock fan can ever forget David Bowie’s icy blue suit on his album cover for Life On Mars. Not to mention the striking lightning bolt makeup. These references were subtle yet suave as seen on Felip wearing a velvet suit by Rodel Briñas and metallic coordinates that echoed thunder bolts by Kaye Morales.

THE JOKER

Out of all the looks for his NYLON Manila Headline shoot, this by far was Felip’s personal favorite. It’s the whimsy of the feathers on the suit by Light Shine White and bold pop of color of the vintage Versace Jeans button-up.

FLIPPED THE SWITCH

In rockstar history, nobody could pull off a red suit quite like Mick Jagger or Michael Jackson. How else can you feel superior if you don’t match your hair with your outfit? Felip wears a red pin stripe suit by Vin Orias and a button down shirt by Nobody Clothing inspired by the nostalgic floral blankets our lolas used to own.

PROM NIGHT AFTER PARTY

Certified lover boy. One thing about Felip? He can pull off any look, blurring the lines between menswear and womenswear without giving a damn. This look in particular gave off prom night after party vibes and we’re here for it.
