Any fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race would know how big of a deal Drag Con LA is. Every year, queens, and not to mention the thousands of fans, from all over the world travel to Los Angeles for an entire weekend of drag excellence. And given how this year’s Drag Con was the first since the airing of the first season of Drag Race Philippines, it was expected that some of the queens from the season would be in attendance.

But as we got closer to Drag Con LA, it became clear that it wasn’t just one or two queens who would make an appearance, but nearly the entire cast. And when they landed in LA, they made sure to showcase Filipina drag excellence. Let’s take a look at some of those moments where the Drag Race PH queens were living their best lives at Drag Con LA.

TURING WITH SASHA COLBY

We don’t know what we love more; the fact that Turing got to meet Sasha, or that Sasha knows who Turing is.

SASHA COLBY SHOWING HER LOVE FOR POP OFF ATE

When we saw that Sasha knew who Turing was, we had a feeling the RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15 winner knew more of our local queens. And, it turns out, she does. In a moment with Eva Le Queen, Sasha revealed that she loved Drag Race PH, and specifically, Pop Off Ate. Sasha has taste, wbk.

THIS VINAS TOWEL LOOK

In a homage to her iconic towel entrance look in Drag Race Philippines, Vinas decided to attend Day Two of Drag Con LA in a Filipinana made out of a towel. And that’s on talent.

THE JORGEOUS CINEMATIC UNIVERSE

For months, fans have pointed out that Marina Summer, Miss Fiercalicious, and Jorgeous look like they come from the same drag family. And that joke became a reality when all three queens finally met with each other in person.

MARINA WINNING A WOWIE AWARD

It was already a moment seeing the Wowie Awards nominate Filipino drag queens for the first time. And it felt even better when Marina bagged the Rising Star award. She deserved it.

VINAS GAGGING THE CROWD WITH HER MARIAH PERFORMANCE

For people who’ve seen a Vinas Deluxe show, her recreation of Mariah Carey’s  We Belong Together stage at the 2006 Grammys is one of her best performances. Naturally, she brought it for the Drag Con stage during her set and proceeded to kill it.

A MOTHER-DAUGHTER REUNION

It felt right seeing Marina and Xilhouete reunite at Drag Con during Mother’s Day weekend.

THIS SHADE FROM MINTY FRESH

From Untucked to the Drag Con stage, Minty will always give it to you. During the Drag Race PH reunion stage, an audience member asked Minty which of her fellow queens would she do their makeup. After Jiggly Caliente first revealed that Minty did her makeup for one episode in season two, Minty proceeded to say that she would do Gigi Era’s makeup because she wanted to help her *presses shade button*.
