Xyriel Manabat has been working in the industry since she was a kid, appearing in some of the top-rated teleseryes of the past decade. But the late 2010s proved to be a pivotal time for the Gen Z actress. After making a name for herself on the big and small screen, Xyriel decided to step away from her acting career and public spotlight so that she could go to high school. She eventually graduated from Golden Faith Academy in Taytay, Rizal in 2020, with high honors, no less. She soon returned to showbiz with acclaimed performances in Dirty Linen and Senior High, starting an exciting new era for the actress.

It is often said that you never stop learning. And that can apply neatly into the field of acting. There is still room for improvement and growth even if you have years in the industry or a long resume. Such was the case for Grae Fernandez. Grae, who initially made a name for himself as a member of the boy group Gimme 5 before transitioning to acting, took a step back from his showbiz career in 2022 to go to New York and hone his acting skills at Stella Adler Studio. And the time away did him well, as Grae’s acting return has him primed to be one of Gen Z’s next leading men.

Moving abroad for university isn’t an easy thing to do considering how much effort is involved to make it work. But it’s one many are willing to embark on, such as Melizza Jimenez. The young actress initially began her uni years at the Queensland University of Technology via online learning. But she eventually decided to pack up and move to Brisbane to attend campus in person. The big move meant she had to pause her acting career, which included not returning to her role as Elle in He’s Into Her season two. But considering Melizza has received multiple honor citations in college and is approaching graduation, it seems it was worth it in the end.
