New record label, new music. At least, that’s what is on the horizon for Catriona Gray, Zephanie, and Inigo Pascual.

At first glance, Catriona Gray, Zephanie, and Inigo Pascual seem to have little in common. One is a former Miss Universe, the other is a rising Gen Z star, and the last is a budding Hollywood actor. But what connects the three of them is their singing prowess and love of music. And that love reached a new level when the trio, along with Richard Poon, recently joined the UMusic and Island Records family as part of a partnership with Cornerstone Entertainment.
We never thought that the day of Catriona, Zephanie, and Inigo sharing the same record label would come, but here we are. The move opens the doors to a lot of exciting possibilities, and clearly, the future is looking bright and sparkly for this constellation of stars.
CATRIONA GRAY
Aside from being a beauty queen, host, and all-around boss, Catriona can also sing with pipes to prove it. But while the promise of Cat pursuing a career in singing was seen in a few single releases, we have yet to see her really go for that music bag. In particular, we have yet to see an album or EP for the former Miss Universe. But now that she signed to a record label whose global roster includes Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande, we may finally see the release of that long-awaited LP.
During the announcement party, Catriona performed Dua Lipa’s Pretty Please, the same song she performed during her first international performance in Singapore last year. The sensual pop song suits her well. If this is the vibe she wants her first album to be, then you can bet it’s getting a pre-order from us. CG 1 is coming, hopefully.
ZEPHANIE
This move for Zephanie is the latest as she continues to prove why she is this generation’s pop princess. The Gen Z star’s last album came in January 2022 when she dropped her self-titled debut. Most of her releases since have been part of OSTs. While those songs aren’t bad (LUV IS rocks), we’re ready for new original material from Zephanie. And already, she’s announced that she’s recording a new song with the label soon. Add to that her imminent acting debut with Michael Sager on GMA, Zephanie looks to have a strong 2023.
INIGO PASCUAL
Don’t just take it from us, Inigo himself said that his new era is coming. In late January, the actor and singer dropped the EP Lockdown Sessions, an acoustic reworking of his Options album that included the hit single Catching Feelings. The moment marked for Inigo the final chapter of one of his most successful eras to date. And now that that chapter of his life is officially closed, new music could be upon us. He may even book a new Hollywood project following 2022’s Monarch TV series.
