It doesn’t get more Filipino than this.

As one of the most influential social media stars of internet, Bretman Rock’s dedication to representing himself and his roots comes into a full circle moment with his NYLON Manila cover. Every little detail matters to him, including the beauty look that was achieved through the gifted hands of LA-based fellow Filipino makeup artist Daphne Chantell del Rosario. Serving you toasted pandesal on a hot summer day, here are the makeup looks from Bretman Rock’s cover shoot that you can easily recreate at home.

PROUD TO BE MORENO

Perhaps the reason why most people can relate to Bretman Rock is how unapologetic he is of his looks. Like a toasted pandesal, his moreno glow is fully activated with his tan, bushy brows, and bee-stung nude lip. Lucky for Bretman, he doesn’t need to overline his lips that much, just a swipe of that nude shade. Another trick to make your eyes look bigger is to apply mascara on the lower lash line for that doll eye effect. We just wish we could do our makeup like this everyday. We’re also pleased to see Bretman in his curls that are finally out to play, made even more texturized by hairstylist Jojo Torres. Good mothaf***ing morning, b*tch!

Emulating its colors, Daphne applied three stars near his temples and a single yellow rhinestone on the corners of his eyes. Of course, it was all tied together by thee boldest red lip she had in her makeup kit. Represent!
