Belle Mariano is the first Filipina to win at the Seoul International Drama Awards. And that’s on period.
It’s 10s, 10s, 10s across the board for Miss Belinda who made history as the first Filipina to receive the Outstanding Asian Star Award at the 2022 Seoul International Drama Awards—and looked drop dead gorgeous, too. We already knew she’d be the next Gen Z It Girl, but it’s the way Korean news outlets have started calling her as a “beautiful Filipina actress” already that gets us the most. Talent and face card? Yep, she’s a winner baby.
But what caught our attention the most was Belle Mariano’s modern terno that made her look like a Filipina Barbie. Styled by Adrianne Concepcion, she wore a pink asymmetrical terno adorned with embellishments created by Filipino fashion designer Francis Libiran. She also shared the sketch via Instagram stories and it was equally breathtaking. The devil is in the details for this one, that’s for sure.
The result is a stunning take on Filipiniana dressing and is definitely on our list of most memorable ternos on the red carpet. (Belle wore bespoke heels by MX Studio and jewelry by LVNA by Drake Dustin.) The cut-out on the waist, the slit, and the cape made everything else look even more dramatic. Pink is very much the winning color, indeed.
Not to be missed was her speech where Belle thanked the directors, the cast, her supporters, and of course, Donny. Lastly, she ended it by thanking the person who molded her into the woman she is today—her mom. With her acting prowess and down to earth attitude, now we can say that everyone is finally into her.
