Spooky season is more than just the costumes as the stars at GMA’s Sparkle Spell Gala showed.

This year, we predict that everyone is going all out for Halloween. A full week ahead of the spooky festivities, the celebrities who attended the Sparkle Spell Gala proved just that. We can all agree that as much as we look forward to the costumes revealed by our favorite local faves, there is something spellbinding about the beauty looks. Starting off strong is this year’s Sparkle Spell Gala, aside from the costumes, the hair and makeup looks had us taking notes.

From spooky to high-glam, the stars made a statement as they strutted the carpet. And we can thank the makeup artists and hairstylists for working their magic on the eye-popping looks of the evening. Let’s take a peek at some of the memorable looks from this year’s Sparkle Spell Gala.

Andrea Torres as Ursula

Andrea was painted purple from head to toe, but what really stood out was her glammed out beat and inches of platinum blonde hair. Her makeup was done by Perry Tabora, and assisted by Fely of Brightside Events. While her hair was by Kiel Otilla

Rabiya Mateo as Jasmine

Rabiya definitely showed the world how gorgeous her beat was. Professional hair and makeup artist Drew Galleguez really gave her the magical treatment. Just like the sleek brows to the nude lips inspired by Princess Jasmine, Rabiya showed that a woman can be all that and more.

Miguel Tanfelix as Edward Scissorhands

Miguel Tanfelix Edward Scissorhands Costume in Sparkle Spell Gala

Edward Scissorhands said, ”People are scared of things that are different,” but Miguel Tanfelix as Edward looked more incredible rather than scary. Professional makeup artist Janica Cleto captured the essence of the character through shading, a light base, and scars that looked similar to the movie. To top it all of, his over-the-top hair was done by Mark Familara.

Ysabel Ortega as The Black Swan 

Ysabel looked stunning with her black and red eye statement and lips to match. The intricacy of her makeup was definitely the star of the show, and gave the black swan costume a high-glam effect. 

Sofia Pablo as Corpse Bride and Allen Ansay as Victor

Who doesn’t love a couples costume? Team Jolly outdid us all with their Corpse Bride ensemble. Both done by professional makeup artist Kaye Misajon and professional hairstylist Maja, the couple resembled the spooky characters perfectly. 

Ashley Alcayde as Other Mother

Who remembers Other Mother from Coraline? Ashley Alcayde came through and spooked us all! Her interpretation of the character’s hair and makeup was spot on, and was definitely a look that shouldn’t be forgotten. 

Joaquin Domagoso as a Calavera

Joaquin came as a wonderful interpretation of the iconic Calavera, a cultural representation of the Dia de los Muertos in Mexico. Face painted as a skull with traditional Mexican designs, Joaquin stood out from the crowd.
