Madame Tussauds celebrates the achievements, lives, and work of historical figures, world leaders, actors, musicians, artists, athletes, designers, and inventors, as well as create figures of fictional characters like Black Panther and Spider-Man. Anne Curtis-Smith, with her long, successful career behind her, will deservingly be part of the list of stars who have their own wax figures.

ACHIEVEMENT ANNE-LOCKED

With museums all over the world, Madame Tussauds sculpts and displays in wax the likenesses of people who have made an impact in different areas and fields of humanity and culture. The museum has been a household name for decades, known for its lifelike wax sculptures of renowned icons from all over the world. Their sculptures are often so scarily accurate and lifelike that some photos that celebrities have taken with their own wax figures make you wonder which one is made of wax.

“I cannot believe this is happening,” Anne wrote on Instagram. She told PhilSTAR Life that she was in a state of disbelief when Madame Tussauds approached her to talk about her wax figure and that the entire process was easy and enjoyable. Details such as the look and dress of the figure have yet to be revealed, but Anne assures that it’ll be a “fashion moment” representative of her triumphant career.

Anne’s wax figure is currently being worked on by the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong team and will be unveiled in 2024.

Anne joins the roster of globally-renowned Filipino icons who have been immortalized in wax—namely, Pia Wurtzbach in 2019, Manny Pacquiao in 2021, and Catriona Gray just earlier this year in 2023. In particular, Anne becomes the first Filipina actress to their own wax figure.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is the first Filipino ever to have her own wax figure, which can be found in the Hong Kong Glamour Zone of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, alongside figures of notable global stars like Benedict Cumberbatch, Angelina Jolie, and Jackson Wang. Glamour Zone is also where Anne’s wax self will find its place, a fitting zone for the ever-glamorous star.
