From dance collabs between Niana Guerrero and NCT Dream to Kirsten Dodgen with A-Team, social media has allowed us to witness unexpected or highly-anticipated collaborations between performers doing what they do best. Both dancers and those rhythm-challenged (me) alike can appreciate the talent, skill, and artistry involved in movement, as well as the teamwork and synergy involved in every dance collaboration.
For instance, a popular practice in K-Pop that’s now a staple every comeback and even in between comebacks are the dance challenges that idols do with fellow artists behind the stage at MCountdown or similar music shows. You’ve got Irene and Seulgi dancing to God of Music with SEVENTEEN’s Joshua and Jun, and here’s LE SSERAFIM’s Eunchae and Kazuha dancing to Hype Boy with NewJeans’ Hyein. It’s a fun little surprise to see the who’s who of stars dance for fun and support, and it’s a joint slay every time.
Speaking of joint slays, we’ve got young dancer, actress, and singer AC Bonifacio, who always delivers fresh, killer moves whether she’s alone or with a partner or team. Her TikToks serve everything from trendy, chaotically fun dances to stage performance-level choreography, proving that while she’s a multitalented succesful young artist, she knows how to have plenty of fun doing what she does. Collaborations with international artists are nothing new to AC, having danced with stars and idols like TREASURE and her bestie SORN before. Just last week, the dancer collaborated with Malaysian girl group Dolla, forming a quintet of new classic girlbosses with talent dripping from their fingertips.

A few months ago, AC and dance crew A-Team teamed up to perform an electric, hype-worthy number at halftime of the FIBA World Cup games! AC also dropped a documentary on her vlog channel chronicling the preparation and everything that went into the performance.

We can add AC and TREASURE to our list of idol-Filipino artist friendships! Along with Niana, AC got the chance to collab with the K-Pop group during their HELLO Tour in Manila earlier this year.
