In her Instagram account, AC shared a snippet of Riverdale Season 5, featuring her in a dance battle with the series’ main character, Cheryl Blossom, played by Madelaine Petsch.

While there’s no news whether or not AC will be a recurring character for Season 5, what we do know based on that clip is that she’s definitely a student of Riverdale High. After all, she’s seen rocking the Vixens’ cheerleading practice uniform in the gym. And from the looks of it, she’s a threat to the HBIC (Head B*tch In Charge), Cheryl Blossom. Could she be taking the crown of the HBIC when Cheryl graduates? It’s all just speculation for now, but we’ll know soon enough. The first episode will premiere on January 21.

In the official trailer, it looks like Season 5 will kick off by wrapping up the mystery of the “auteur,” while showing Archie and the gang attending prom and graduating from high school. After tying off the threads from Season 4, Riverdale Season 5 will jump ahead seven years to Archie and the gang in their twenties.

Season 5 will reportedly introduce new characters to the show, including Erinn Westbrook as Tabitha Tate, the business-savvy granddaughter of Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe owner, Terry “Pop” Tate. A casting call for Season 5 has also revealed Jughead and Veronica will have a new girlfriend and husband, respectively, after the time jump.

In addition, longtime Riverdale co-stars Marisol Nichols and Skeet Ulrich will be leaving the show after the first few episodes of Season 5.
